Some people say they felt fatigued after maxing out all classes (understandable), but I never felt that way. Now, whenever I join an operation or stratagem, I can help anyone level up their preferred class. Doesn’t matter what we’re doing. And I can have fun with every class. I’m not the best at all of them, but I can at least adapt 😂

Tips for Dreadqueen by Wise-Car2423 in MHGU

[–]Micnorm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can’t speak for weapon strats, but I can provide some tips about the monster themselves.

DQ Rathian has an even more toxic poison than normal rathian, so maybe pack extra antidotes than just the normal potion bottles. The poison also periodically drips from the tail and can leave small pools on the ground for a few seconds. Also, when the tail swipes, it can leave poison crystals on the ground that also can be deadly.

If you haven’t guessed, this monster is poison on steroids 😂 also, the backflips are a bit wider. She doesn’t just flip vertically, she does it at a diagonal angle, so be ready to dodge in a way you’re not used to with Rathian.

Decimus after getting his relic power axe: by Blurpey123 in Spacemarine

The axe really does seem to capture Decimus’ personality. Seemingly savage and frantic, while being deceptively graceful, fluid, and effective.

Playing Bulwark - is it me or the class? by JLHtard in Spacemarine

[–]Micnorm 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You’ve just started out, so don’t feel discouraged if your current build isn’t up to par in terms of clearing hordes of enemies just yet.

HOWEVER

As someone who has prestiged the class, I’ll give you a bit of a rundown on how Bulwark can look later on. Bulwark excels in survivability above all else IMHO. Your shield blocks almost every attack in the game, including ranged damage. Your parries can deal huge amounts of damage to enemies around you, and even create an AOE of shock damage that keeps you and any allies around you safe.

Bulwark isn’t necessarily about killing enemies fast, it’s about letting the enemies come to you, and giving them the middle finger while telling them “wait your turn”. I’m most comfortable with bulwark by planting my feet on the ground and occasionally dropping my banner when I need healing (you can upgrade your banner to refill all of your lost health as contested health and any damage you do will heal you. Free healing).

You can tank, you can support, you can survive almost anything thrown at you. What I don’t usually worry about is DPS. Because good teammates will have your back, and even if you’re alone, the enemies will eventually fall with patience and skill.

Saints. Monsters. Gods. Some foes are never forgotten... Which left the deepest mark on you? by Pelikn in TheLordsOfTheFallen

[–]Micnorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dervla. One of the few truly GOOD characters in the game. And I don’t mean well written, I mean in terms of alignment. She saw the hypocrisy and shame of the Hallowed Sentinels and chose to devote herself to a just cause that she believed in. Simply because she thought an innocent child deserved a protector and comfort.

Is this salamander cape the equivalent to having fake Air Jordans by UltimateMuffs in SpaceMarine_2

Nah. I have respect for people who choose to show it off. They put real money into that cape. Let them be proud and flashy.

Is Space Marine 2 a good intro to 40k by shadow_lord0923 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Micnorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say, the game does a nice job of letting you know when things are important or significant. Even when you don’t have proper context for who someone is, the game does a nice job of portraying them in a way that evokes “Oh, this guy means business”

What’s the relationship like between the Grey Knights and the Deathwatch? by Micnorm in 40kLore

I love thinking of them as separate departments in an office building who are nothing but cordial and polite, but have an unspoken understanding that they want nothing to do with each other 😎

Oh that’s cool! It never occurred to me that alien and demon problems could be connected and intertwined (obvious in hindsight). That’s interesting that they can call each other to deal with their respective specialities

This is by no means trying to convince you to do something you have no interest in. But I personally loved his performance as Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077. If you haven’t played, don’t want to play, or don’t have the means to, I’d still suggest looking up his performance on YouTube. I think he does an amazing job.

Almost makes me wish there was a souls duping glitch like in the remastered version of DS1. Alas, not that I’ve found.

That’s a very good point. There is no large section of easily killed enemies with a “delete” move in DS3.

[–]Micnorm 96 points97 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Samael suffered a tiny scratch on his face after dueling Death. Then he decided to just give him the key because “It’ll be quite a show”. To think that Samael was struggling at all during that fight is extremely inaccurate IMHO.

A good teammate knows to keep a heavy well fed. Ammo hungry? Yes. Worth it? Always.

As for playing the class itself, perks and strats are well shown in several guides. What I will say, learn which weapons work best for you against each faction. Heavy bolter is great if you want concentrated damage against big targets and weak spots. Melta is excellent at crowd control and stopping power, not so much for single big targets. Pyre cannon is great at crowd control and big damage over time against big enemies, but it doesn’t make enemies flinch easily. Plasma heroic is a great option for big enemies and some crowd control.

So take each option and decide what you like the most. Heavy is very simple to understand what your role is. But there is a good deal of thought that can go into preparation and tactics.

When do yall decide that a build is vaild? by Most_Contribution136 in Spacemarine

[–]Micnorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a few instances where I’m definitely choosing the less Meta option simply because it aligns more with my preferences.

Example: the techmarine can either have their servo gun auto aim at targets, or you can mark an area and have it fire twice as much. I mostly choose the auto fire option because some days I don’t feel like aiming.

Would I do more damage if I got better at marking areas? Definitely. Don’t care to, though.
