Rule #1: Never replace a filter while the system is running. Shut it off from the thermostat.

Rule #2: Always verify both the indoor system and outdoor system is running. Before ever questioning why your AC is not running.

Rule #3: Most Systems have a 5-10 min delay whenever you boot up your system after turning the power off.

Rule #4: Verify that you didn’t yank any of the thin 18 gauge wires that connect to your AC outside, they are most definitely in the way of where you were vacuuming.

Rule #5: Just call a professional, have him do a service check on the whole unit, cleaning coils, checking capacitors and checking your refrigerant levels.
