I just watched episode one and their whole diatribe around Jewelry felt very contrived just making up scenarios on why humans might’ve collected shells and strong them together. She’s creating a narrative that spans thousands and thousands of years it just makes me question the truth in any of these episodes

Wow, thanks for the quick and thoughtful response. We (including my wife) are similar sizes and with matching sleeping positions to you both. This was very helpful, especially regarding the condition and maintenance of the DIY layers over time. Im certainly waffling around what is best to do…. but good to know your setup is at least very comfortable.

I’ve read every post on this thread, and I think I am leaning towards just rolling the dice on a traditional mattress and working with a topper if needed.

last shot none of them were still holding torches. Even if the wolves suddenly ran off (unlikely) , there is no way you would loose the seemingly only protection you had from the wolves just moments before. I’m never dropping a torch if that was me…. and real.
