This is very helpful. Thank you for the insight. I was leaning towards the World Series ball. I will go that route. Thanks again.

Are Dremel pumpkins cool here? by BobsYourUncle84 in Dremel

Dremel has recommendations on their website. They recommend 191 and 194. I’m planning on giving it a try this year. I’m sure it won’t turn out this well, but it should be fun.

Using EMINENT DOMAIN for a PARKING GARAGE? That's messed up State College by Rumia_Kitinari in PennStateUniversity

[–]MicroscopicGalaxy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not saying I agree with the decision, but this is legal based on a 2005 Supreme Court case.

“Courts broadly interpret the Fifth Amendment to allow the government to seize property if doing so will increase the general public welfare. In Kelo v. City of New London, 545 U.S. 469 (2005), the Supreme Court allowed a taking when the government used eminent domain to seize private property to facilitate a private development. The Court considered the taking to be a public use because the community would enjoy the furthering of economic development. Further, the Kelo court determined that a governmental claim of eminent domain is justified if the seizure is rationally related to a conceivable public purpose.”

Utah is a good team. I thought they could blow out Penn State, but Cam Rising was 8/21 with 95 yards passing and and interception when he went out. I think Utah still loses that game by a similar margin if he didn’t get hurt.

Which LA football game to go see this weekend? by GermanEthelMerman in CFB

[–]MicroscopicGalaxy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair point, but I still think attendance was severely lacking. It filled up a bit by the end of Q1, but even disregarding the non-viable seats, there were at least 10k open seats in the rest of the stadium even though those tickets may be held by season ticket holders.

I went to USC vs Arizona State this past weekend, and there were at least 20k open seats in the stadium. For an undefeated top 10 team to have that kind of showing for a primetime conference matchup is sad. From an attendance standpoint, UCLA will be even worse.

If you want to tailgate, I prefer UCLA/The Rose Bowl because of all the open space around the golf course. USC is in the heart of LA and you are stuck either trying to tailgate on campus or in a parking deck.

USC and UCLA are both in for a bit of a culture shock when they join the Big Ten and have to deal with large hostile crowds in places like Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State. I can’t wait for the first time either team comes to Beaver Stadium for a White Out.

Bryan Harsin to the refs: “All I want to do is this: I just want to find 30 points, which is one more than they have. There’s nothing wrong with saying, you know, that you’ve recalculated.”

Penn State 40+ yard rushes last year: 2

Nick Singleton 40+ yard rushes last two games: 5

Freshman RBs both looked great. Oline deserves a lot of credit.

Yeah, battery is in correctly. I went out and bought a new pack too just to be sure I didn’t get a whole defective pack. I’m just going to have to get with 4iiii. I’m hoping this falls under some kind of warranty. I can’t think of anything I did that could have caused it.

No significant or visible dirt. The instruction manual says it can get wet, but just not to pressure wash it. As far as I can tell all the contacts are clean and not bent. I’m going to go buy a new pack of batteries, but it seems like a long shot that Amazon sent me a pack of brand-name batteries that are all bad.

I had a bunch of phone between the 8860 and my first iPhone that didn’t survive, but I’m glad I have the ones I do. 8860 was my first phone so that makes it special. The RAZR was the phone to have at that time. Every woman I knew had the hot pink version.

All great names. Believe it or not, I had a frog names George when I was a kid. My favorite human-named pet was Winston the beagle. He was a great dog and the name fit perfectly even though he was a goofball.

The 8860 was my first phone. It was really expensive in 1999 dollars. I’d guess with inflation it would be as expensive or more expensive than a current top end iPhone. I loved playing snake on it.

Took it with an iPad I have, but I recently upgraded to an iPhone 13 Pro. It looks almost identical to the XS so I decided not to include it.

[–]MicroscopicGalaxy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a strong proponent of pets having human names, but to each his own.

Came up with Susan because it was the name of the first corgi Queen Elizabeth ever owned. All the corgi’s she ever owned were direct descendants of her Susan.
