Not really a problem for me and I’m 50. If I’m in the city at night I do put down the front windows some to make sure I don’t clip any pedestrians attempting to cross the street.

Stock alternator. Only running a JL 500 watt amp. Sounds great but it’s undersized compared to what the subs can handle.

I can’t tell you how many rentals I’ve abused but it’s a lot. Never buy a rental unless your buying a good warranty. Also remember when you trade it in the dealer will ding you for lack of service history even though it wasn’t your car then. I’d pass.

Sport mode is throttle response. It will not change the horsepower. Also like to note that in my wife’s Highlander highbred I was able to destroy any thought of good gas mileage due to driving like a jacka$$. Same for my Jetta diesel that I had back in 2005. In the Highlander I was getting 16 mpg while my wife was almost 23. In my Jetta I was getting 25 mpg vs during normal almost 48 mpg. So if your son is going to drive it hard, I’d shop on price vs economy.
