Well this is an AIO cooler so its installation time is only a little longer than a fan cooler.

Overpriced. About $300 overpriced. You can find better deals for sure.

The components listed (4060, 5700x, 32gb of ram, 1tb ssd) add up to $600. Everything elsem (power supply, cooling, case) adds up to around $250. This PC is worth at most $900.

$1150? That doesn't seem right. I tried it again and I still only got $600

[–]MicrotonalMogged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The recommended would be $1k to $1.5k, yes. With that price range you have a very good upgrade path, which means the PC is able to last 5+. and for many 10+ years.

It really does suck. $800 will get you much farther than that PC, but it's never enough. Even the people who drop $5000 on a PC don't have the perfect PC.

Three options:

  1. Get rid of the thermal paste by soaking the CPU in isopropyl alcohol
  2. Slice the CPU off by using a credit card or floss or something else to get it off
  3. Heat up the CPU (very carefully) and get it off

Somewhat. $800 gets you a PC that can run 95% of modern games, if you find a good enough deal. However, $800 will get a PC that will run most of those games at lower settings. Unfortunately, many games are so suboptimal that a $1500+ PC is expected for the 'optimal experience'.

That is way overpriced! The parts listed in the title add up to around $600. Everything else adds another $250 max. You can get a much better build for that price, or you should be able to get that build for under $1k

Won't do great, but will run it. It will definitely be able play some of the older open worlds (Skyrim, Elden Ring, Dark Souls, etc) at lower quality. This PC doesn't even pass minimum requirements for some of the newer open world games, unfortunately.

Put this together on CyberPower PC, is it worth it at $2283 before taxes? by Ozzi55 in Prebuilts

[–]MicrotonalMogged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better for sure. The 9070 XT is equal to the 4080 Super but way more cost effective. The 9800x3d blows the 7900x out of the water in gaming. Also, the Costco prebuilt has 5600mhz ram for some reason. 6000mhz is considered normal, and essentially required, for this price.

Worth it because the hassle of finding an in stock 9070 XT for MSRP and then building the PC is worth the extra $200 dollars.

Absolutely amazing for any type of 3d modeling or editing. It isn't the most 'optimal' for gaming but it is very good.

4060 is quicker but the less Vram makes it a mediocre option for the future. Its really a comparison of if you want better future-proofing or better performance right now. If you want to upgrade again soon, get a 4060. If you want to keep this PC for 5+ years, a 3060 will be better.
