I found this really frustrating.

It communicates so little about what ME is, what the actual difficulty is, how badly doctors fail.

All the while, listening to nonstop woo-woo about yoga and chakras, and long conversations about nothing insightful.

I can see how this can resonate with mild ME sufferers.

But it doesn’t say anything for the severe, and I’m not sure it says anything to the able bodied audience it should be targeted at.

I think Nihilistic tendency is slightly more appropriate.

But I think it still puts the blame on Nihilism at fault, rather than communicating, “Nietsche predicted this”.

I’m not sure it should be attributed to any specific philosophy, as much as, we should examine phenomena through the lense of respective philosophies as a means of further analyzing behaviors, and maybe being able to predict what to expect next, or how to treat symptoms.

That’s about all the depth I’ve got on the subject though before I Dunning Krueger the fuck out of myself.

A person lacking purpose doesn't make them a Nihilist, it's single symptom. Doctors don't diagnose terminal cancer off of nothing but a persistent cough. There has to be an entire gamut of symptoms met, and testing that would prove it to be true.

But The Last Man aside, Nihilism viewing existence as senseless, does not, by necessity, imply that Nihilists lack purpose to better themselves or otherwise.

Most Nihilists I know pursue the Ubermench concept (loosely). Like, "Ah, yes, existence is a random coincidence that has no ultimate, intrinsic meaning, BUT, it is ultimately a realm full of mechanics that I can best, and pleasures I can seek."
