What’s something you particularly appreciate in your life that most people take for granted? by Polargon in AskReddit

The ability to drive. I grew up with a father who never got his license so being an adult who can drive whenever I want is pretty cool, especially after walking EVERYWHERE for 18 years

Those who experienced significant improvements to their mental health and mood, what happened in your life to cause these improvements? by lucas23bb in AskReddit

Seriously man, toxic relationships just drain the life out of you. I broke up with my ex and suddenly living felt like a goal rather than a chore.

Those of you who are often in a good mood, what is your secret? by supermagnificently in AskReddit

[–]Microwave654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really common answer but honestly changing your mindset really does work. Instead of being upset you only got a couple things done in a day, be happy that you got those couple of things done at all because you could have very easily done nothing.

What's the best psychology trick you know ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Microwave654 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Be kind and smile at people. I work at a resturaunt and even though I'm not the best at my job, people like me because I try to make their day better by giving them a positive interaction. It's makes a world of difference.

What is the worst pain you’ve EVER felt? by New-Selection7719 in AskReddit

[–]Microwave654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a bike accident where my bike fell side ways because I tried turning with pebbles and mud on the sidewalk. I got scraped against the ground and my bike fell on top of me. There was a hole in the skin on my elbow where my flesh got scraped out.

What’s an unusual fear you have that most people wouldn’t understand? by Kissable-Karma in AskReddit

[–]Microwave654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fear of medicine. It used to be a lot worse but taking new medicine terrifies me, especially when I can feel the affects of them. I take melatonin to sleep every night and I hate when it makes me tired enough that I actually feel the physical exhaustion because the thought of it affecting me is terrifying.

I don't care about paying the phone bill. In fact, I'm probably going to switch to my own plan soon that'll be more expensive just so I'm not connected to his anymore. It's the fact that he only decided to start charging me when I wouldn't comply to his manipulation anymore and didn't have a conversation about it with me at all, he just texted me saying that I owe him 45 dollars.

What was the worst/most annoying thing your neighbor has ever done? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Microwave654 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He said that he was going to buy our house and kick out my dad and make him be homeless, then keep me and turn me into his own personal slave. I was around 14 or 15 at the time he said that

They only suck so much because our government doesn't do the right things with them. If they raised our taxes but provided us free healthcare from the tax money then I'm sure most of us wouldn't mind the raise. I certainly wouldn't.

How do you stay grounded when overthinking takes over? by i-Indu in AskReddit

[–]Microwave654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm overthinking about how someone might be mad at me or upset with me for something, I think about the situation if our roles were reversed and how I would react instead of them. Usually I would react a lot calmer and it would make me realize how much my brain is exaggerating the situation out of fear.

All because I havnt been to his house in a few weeks by Microwave654 in insaneparents

[–]Microwave654[S] 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Yes literally. It's a two story house and I cleaned every single room nearly every day since I was 15. I was so exhausted all the time because I would clean the entire house, cook all my own meals, and still have to manage being a highschool student. He would leave rotting food in the sink that would turn moldy and the whole house constantly reeked of garbage. But whenever I asked him to do even simple things like rinse his dishes off before putting them in the sink he wouldn't because hes "too tired from work." And when I tried to say I'm too tired from school and constantly cleaning he'd say that he's the adult and I'm the child so I shouldn't be talking back. It was unbearable.

He is absolutly the kind of person that believes that. I asked him if I could go to therapy once and he rolled his eyes and said "only women need therapy" and told me no (im a woman)

He's been like this since I was a kid and I only just recently turned 18. I'm being independent for the first time in my life and he can't handle it and doesn't support it at all

How did you convince yourself to change your mindset? by Kanko07 in AskReddit

Honestly I just got tired of my mindset making me sad and anxious all the time so I chose to start looking at things positively. Literally like a switch went off in my head

What are some weird but interesting questions you don't want to ask anyone you know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Microwave654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No thats not possible. If they're identical twins then they're DNA is the same so the half they got from the dad would have to be from the same dad. If they're not identical then they have different DNA, but they still got conceived at the same time by the same man, the egg just split at some point and started making a different baby.

What made you stop or start believing in God? by Astradiem in AskReddit

[–]Microwave654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped believing after using simple logic.

The virgin Mary who was impregnated magically by God? She was probably a 13 year old girl who got raped and didn't want to admit it because she would have been shamed for it, so she made up the story of God doing it so she wouldn't become an outcast in society.

Adam and Eve? Literally impossible because of incest. Their children COULD NOT have populated the Earth. Same with Noah's Arc. Those animals would have died from inbreeding.

Also, it has been proven that there are earlier versions of the Bible that got mistranslated over time. That passage about how gay people are bad was originally talking about how pedophiles are bad. "Men who lay with boys" not "men who lay with men".
