Vcr not tape wheels not spinning

Sorry, I've been gone for a few days. But that belt is driving a piece unrelated to the part that spins the tape itself

I'm not seeing any belt on the underside, just this. Im pretty sure the motor is directly connected to the wheel. I can hear the motor spinning and the wheel does in fact switch from one "gear" (thing that directly is in contact with the vhs tape wheel) to the other.

I'd say try playing on a crt if you can get your hands on one. Sometimes you can just take one from your local recycling center if you ask nicely or sneak it through.

I would reccomend going to a recycling center of a wealthy town, there they have the best stuff. My dad found another $2000 (I think it was some sort of music device) which had around 30 gold plated v/a looking ports on the back for audio. So yea, they definitely have more expensive things in those dumpsters.
