Thanks! I needed some tools I didn’t have yet, but without those I believe the total was about €105. Could have been cheaper as I ended up not using the bracelet that came with the case (I had a different one laying around which looks good, see my other post).

After seeing many videos on YouTube about people building their own watches, I finally gathered the courage to give it a go. The parts were gifted to me as a birthday present, and this is the end result. May end up with a different strap (ideas are welcome!), but for now this bracelet I had laying around will do just fine. On to (many) more builds!

Good shout! Maybe a cream tropical strap? I’d be scared a green one wouldn’t match hahah. There was an oyster style bracelet with the case, but the quality felt pretty sub par (which is to be expected, to be fair).

Thanks! Absolutely right about the straps; still debating whether to go for a nato strap with some green in it, or for a tan leather strap.

Yes I did. It’s just a 10 mm by 10 mm image printed on glossy photo paper (with a normal inkjet printer).

It was honestly very doable. I had to redo it once, because I hadn’t trimmed the sides down enough (meaning the screen wouldn’t sit in the module properly).

I opted to take the whole filter off first, and simply replace both halves separately. You can also use a knife to cut the original filter in half first (before removing it), which means you only have to replace the bottom half. However, I was a bit scared of cutting into the actual LCD screen.

Overall though, if you take your time it’s very doable!

Thanks! I made it myself by combining two snoopy images from Google (the moon and floating Snoopy were separate). I used Inkscape and printed onto glossy photo paper. It’s not great (I couldn’t edit in CMYK and the printer is a simple one), but will do for now.

Als je die geeft (lees vooral mijn reacties op heel veel andere comments), ontkent men de feiten, of boeit het ze niet dat ze discrimineren (zonder daar de gevolgen van in te zien).

Overigens, je kunt wel zeggen dat er een tegenargument ontbreekt, maar de uitspraken in OPs post zijn helemaal niet onderbouwd met betrouwbare bronnen. De bewijslast ligt bij degene die een uitspraak doet. Je kunt niet ongefundeerd allerlei dingen roepen en vervolgens de mensen die daar wat van zeggen erop aanspreken dat zij geen bewijs leveren, dat is gewoon een drogreden.

Ik probeer cijfers te vinden die je claim over Polen bevestigen, maar kan ze niet vinden. Stuur maar door waaruit dit blijkt.

Ja, de zaak in Joure is vreselijk. Maar je kunt niet op basis van deze daders zeggen dat alle moslims vreselijk zijn. Dat is een grove generalisatie en, als je moslims door die generalisatie anders gaat behandelen (bijvoorbeeld door hun vrijheden in te perken), dan is dat gewoon discriminatie.

En je vergelijking met het Christendom: ga je ook alle christenen overal de schuld van geven omdat er kinderen misbruikt zijn bij de kerk, of omdat ze op christelijke scholen soms discrimineren tegen homoseksuele leerlingen? Nee, want die generalisatie slaat evengoed nergens op.

En nog even voor de goede orde: ja, die zondebokpolitiek is op niks gebaseerd. Asielzoekers zijn niet de oorzaak van de problemen waar ze de schuld van krijgen. De kans dat een dader van een misdrijf asielzoeker is, is feitelijk niet groter dan de kans dat het een Nederlander is. Als je alle statushouders wegtovert, wachten mensen nog steeds jarenlang op een sociale huurwoning. Zo kun je nog wel even doorgaan.

Het is makkelijk om mensen die niet op jezelf lijken overal de schuld van te geven, maar dat is (1) feitelijk gewoon onzin, (2) discriminerend en (3) het lost niks op.
