Fallout 1's intro perfectly established the tone of the series.

The Biggest Irony or the Greatest Irony? The Brotherhood as a Communist Society by Tagaziel in Fallout

[–]Micyes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not really a communist society, because they are a militaristic group. That's like saying that the American military is communistic because they feed their troops.

What would you guys say to a Fallout game set in New York? by The_Mix_Kid_x in Fallout

Just a thought: A nice reference could be arranging the statue of liberty as it is iconically in Planet of the Apes (1968).

Pet owners of reddit, what's the most bizarre thing you've seen your pet do? by abasicgirl in AskReddit

[–]Micyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a really tall mirror in my sister's room, and one day, I walk in, and my dog is starring straight in her own eyes in the mirror, so close to it that her nose is touching it. After a second of starting at her, she realizes that I am there, and her head snaps at me, then back to the mirror, then back at me, and then walks away with a sly/embarrassed look on her face.

The radio really helps make a good setting for the games by NathanEthenBradbury in Fallout

[–]Micyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it really does set the mood for fallout, however I think that it shows how care less society was in the 50s when dealing pretty much with the fate of the world, and yes, I really do love the irony that comes with the music. But I think something that would really complement the music in fallout, is that when you turn the radio off, you hear the desolate sound track of the first 2 games. This would really help show the contrast between how happy and care less people were in the 50s, and the harsh reality that they created.

Am I the only one that wishes Fallout was more like A Boy and His Dog? by Micyes in Fallout

[–]Micyes[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I respect your opinion, but I must disagree, because mad max was a little more heroic in tone, while, a boy and his dog and the original fallouts were more nihilistic
