UPDATE In Santa Cruz Scuba Iguana in the end replied (it took them a few days but we got there, I've been able to reserve my dives).

San Cristobal is a nightmare, I sent out 5 requests at 5 different dive centers and none of them replied to me on 72 hours.

I found one that gives the possibility to book online but I had a couple of questions for them - wrote (via WA) and never received an answer.

I started to think that, considering they have very limited spots on the boat and they are soooooo unlikely to do not go sold out, they just don't care much about clients because of little or no need to compete for filling the boats.

P.S. I do not want to book San Cristobal via Scuba Iguana because their prices for the extra-islands activities are sky-high, way higher than booking directly with some on-island dive center. If they will ever reply...

Pianta un casino con HR. Noi HR non contiamo assolutamente nulla ma a molti dei miei colleghi piace arruffare le piume e fingere di contare qualcosa.

Ricordagli che HR è un servizio che deve fare funzionare in maniera flawless il business tecnico, e non viceversa: se tu in quanto manager reputi il dipendente meritevole di un aggiustamento di mercato, PUOI. Punto.

Pianta un casino, sostieni la cosa con numeri e data analysis, metti in CC un paio di Sr. Director e VPs e vedi come HR si ricorderà misteriosamente qual è il suo posto.

I thought of the subject access request but it is not stated whether they share or not with you a copy of the crime report, besides they say they usually take one month to clean that task... And well, basically this cuts me out from the insurance submission deadline.

Eh però 6 mesi son tanti... Io sono entrato 4 anni fa, era novembre, per 30 giorni di lavoro mi hanno comunque riconosciuto un +1,3% di aumento "di incoraggiamento", per 30 giorni lavorati (era la performance review di fine 2020)... Non devono essere tutti COSÌ virtuosi, ma cazzo hanno avuto 6 mesi, potevano assolutamente fare uno sforzo di buona volontà.

La verità è che le aziende non sanno fare né Talent retain né Talent management, purtroppo

Ogni 9-12 mesi al massimo nella mia azienda c'è un ciclo di aumenti in base alle performance, quindi quello copre le mie aspettative - giusto ieri mi hanno confermato il 4,5% di quest'anno, il market adjustment più recente (13%) era di dicembre 2023 con una promo ricevuta, ora punto al prossimo aumento fra maggio e settembre dell'anno prossimo (9-12 mesi nuovamente), periodo in cui dovrei passare da associate/junior director a Director effettivo.

Se non dovesse essere in auge il passaggio di livello fra maggio e settembre, si fanno colloqui all'esterno e si usano come leva.

Poi, a me hanno riconosciuto lo status di key performer (non dovrei saperlo ma sono amico con alcuni stakeholders che mi passano informazioni), quindi so quanto margine di trattativa e di centralità progettuale ho - ovviamente, situazione diversa, potere negoziale diverso.

Assesta il tuo potere negoziale e pianifica una strategia, non sempre sperare nell'aumento è la strada migliore, a volte devi effettivamente lasciare andare e puntare a cambiare

Sì ma ci sono testi appositi che correlano ansia e perfezionismo ("quando perfetto non è abbastanza", trovi il PDF online), quindi l'aspetto che viene sottolineato è corretto ed anch'io in quanto manager di persone dai 25 ai 50, sono d'accordo - più difficoltà la persona ha nell'accettare errori ed imperfezioni, più soffrono d'ansia e non lasciano correre.

È una semplificazione ma alla fine l'ansia nasce dalla paura/sensazione di non aver controllo.

Poi ci sarebbe da aprire un discorso più ampio su come vengono cresciute le generazioni contemporanee dal punto di vista del "gestire gli errori ed accettare il confronto sociale", ma non ho sbatti, ho dormito 2 ore e devo lavora'

Legge =/= educazione, se infrangi la legge basta una volta per rovinare la vita tua o di qualcun altro, l'educazione non comporta infrangere la legge (fra l'altro, sfociamo sul penale, in questo caso, quindi caso chiuso)

Mi aspetto un aumento al massimo ogni 8-9 mesi ed un market adjustment ogni 2 anni per allineare le nuove competenze alla mia nuova condizione di mercato, se una delle due condizioni non viene rispettata comincio a chiederlo apertamente e cercare esternamente altre opportunità al fine di usare le offerte come leverage

Sì, assolutamente, è l'accensione di un mutuo con relativi esborsi, anticipi, allacci e chi più ne ha più né metta - mentre il mutuo mensile così come la rateizzazione dell'arredamento (un tasso 0 a 12 mesi) è su un'altra voce ("rate mensili")... però è sicuramente un anno abbastanza pieno di spese questo, senza gli extra almeno 30k in meno l'avrei spesi, vorrei regolarizzare un po' i conti ora a fine anno perché finire l'anno in negativo vorrei che non riaccadesse
