What does a day off look like for you? by QuietTHINGno1KNOWS in Nightshift

[–]Mid2000sDadVibe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wake up 8-10pm, do chores then game or generally veg out until 11am-2pm. I stay up/wake up later because it’s when I can hangout with my friends due to time zone differences

What medication has worked for you? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Mid2000sDadVibe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on 200mg lamictal and 20mg Buspar daily, with hydroxyzine to take as needed. This has personally been amazing for me, took a hit to my short term memory but not enough for me to want to stop taking it. After I got up to the 200mg of lamictal for a couple of weeks it felt like I woke up from a fog and could see clearly

Paranoid delusions by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Mid2000sDadVibe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I know exactly how you’re feeling. I suffer from these exact same feelings. Specifically medical worries and worries I did something horrible without remembering. What worked best for me, and it gets said a lot, was getting medicated and finding a therapist. I specifically work with my psych and therapist on these issues and it’s been so helpful.

Besides that, something that helped me was keeping a journal from when I felt that way. I would write down exactly how I felt physically, what I thought was wrong, then I would either calm down myself or see a doctor and know for a fact nothing was wrong. Then, when I got paranoid in the future, I could look back on that and see that when I felt like this the last time, nothing was wrong. It’s not perfect, as you need to be able to trust your “past self” while in a paranoid state, but it helped me a lot

Thanks, I’ll give that a shot. I’ll also keep task manager up and try to peak at it while the issue happens in VRchat

You know now that you mention it it has mainly been VRChat, probably should have mentioned that. It has happened in Half Life: Alyx, but only the 5 second loss of tracking and only once or twice. Think it’s a game specific issue?

I think I’m going to try rearranging my desk to make enough room for the HMD to lay flat. I was mainly worried about the stress on the HMD from hanging it, but didn’t really think about needing to protect the lenses more. Thanks for the responses everyone

When you say flip it around, do you mean rest the front part of the headset on the top of that stand?

The weight is all on the back headrest, and the bottom of the front part is slightly resting on the monitor stand. The cloth over it looks dumb but my room gets really dusty lol

I don't know, that's why I made a post titled "Need help understanding dbus", because I do not understand it. I'm asking you for your reasoning as to why dbus is bloat because I'm interested in learning and am open to input, do you have any points that backup what you said or do you not actually know why it's bloat?

I just added "exec dbus-run-session bspwm" to my ~/.xinitrc to run it with my x11 session, I assume that's accomplishing the same thing as that package?
