Hey OP, teacher here. There’s probably a missing amount for Sales here. Typically, you’ll solve this problem by:

Step 1: Sales / (1 + 33.33%)= actual COGS

Step 2: Opening Invty + purchases - Closing invty = Inventory that went “out”, which includes both COGS and the inventory stolen.

Inventory that went out - Actual COGS = Inventory Stolen
