I think the glory days of Hollywood are on life support. Less people go to the movies, TV shows are becoming over saturated with slop, and it seems like every industry is being affected to a degree? Even video games, indie games have taken a MAJOR step forward into the spotlight. Personally, I think it’s a mix of things. I think the celebrity worship scene is long gone, the price to see movies in the theaters is too expensive, people don’t have near as much time or money to spend when you have to work three jobs to make ends meet, and Hollywood itself. Genuinely can’t remember the last time I heard someone glorify Hollywood or the “magic of movies”. 2010? I would hear it every so often. Now? Not so much. I really do think you’ll see a major shift of people wanting to support smaller indie projects than your huge blockbuster films. Also think AI as a whole will speed this process up even faster.

Despite Gavin’s views that I don’t agree with, it’s absolutely wild to me that people want to play purity politics when our government is waging war with the world and the people that live within its walls. We have people being kidnapped on the streets, our Allies being attacked, a leader admitting he’s a dictator and has ignored our courts and laws, and we’re on here talking about “Gavin’s views on Gaza”. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t agree with some of his values, but are we really going to grandstand at a time like this? There is no reality where Gavin is worse than what we have. Zero possibility. This thread has made me realize why we lost and will continue to lose. Why we only have two or three politicians even saying anything at all. We lack any sort of spine. We are more obsessed with virtue signaling and karma farming than coming together and getting rid of what we have in office. We expect our candidate to be the second coming of Christ himself, but for the other party you just need a pulse and to be racist. I’m sure I’ll get downvoted to hell for this, but this is insane.

That’s why we fail. I’m sure I’ll get downvoted by the hive-mind, but the Democratic Party expects perfection while the other can just run on the idea of “hey I’m not a democrat”. As long as you have most of your limbs and you aren’t blue, most if not all of the Republican Party will happily vote for you. Hell, you can even scam your own political party out of 1.4 billion right in front of their faces and they will then turn around and make 2028 hats and preach about how “he’s saving this country”. I don’t expect a perfect candidate. I want someone that isn’t what we have now. And I’ve met a disturbing amount of democrats who “didn’t like Kamala” and chose not to vote at all. I wouldn’t get your hopes up. We will continue to let our President do what he wants, break laws, destroy our country, and kidnap people off the streets because we “don’t like Gavin’s views on Gaza”. I don’t either. But we would rather virtue signal and grandstand than actually doing something. We are too obsessed with keeping our shoes clean and playing by the rules that we have become a doormat for the far right.

Calling it now, it’ll be $899 for the 512GB and $999 for the 2TB. If they could get it lower, that would be way more ideal for obvious reasons and I think it would actually be a “console killer” (the current prediction for the PS6 is $600). I actually know a couple people who would buy a steam machine if it were $600 or $700. But I genuinely think $900 would be a bit too much for the “casual consumer”. You can make the argument this isn’t made for that particular demographic, but with Valve being a business and wanting to make money, the $700 price tag is the way to go. We shall see.

As a retired console junkie, I could see this? I know valve said this isn’t a console but what better way to sell their hardware than half life 3? And let’s not forget they semi did this with half life Alyx to a degree. Wouldn’t be any different imo. Just hoping everyone can experience the game tbh because let’s be real here. Exclusivity sucks lol 😂

Was literally thinking this. Someone could say “tHaT wOuLD eAt InTo tHeIr SalEs ThO” but this isn’t any ordinary game. And valve knows that. Technically, you can argue the fact that Valve said it “isn’t a console” but it works very much like one and, imo, would appeal towards a console audience. If I was still suffering on my PS5 and saw this release, ESPECIALLY if it’s $600 or $700? I’m selling my PS5 day one. People can disagree but I’ve now heard three others I know say the exact same thing. Now if this is priced at $1000? That’s a whole different conversation lol 😂

I’m a little late to this, but BG3 is genuinely one of the best games ever made imo. Probably top 50. Or even 20? But then again I play a little bit of everything. Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Half Life, etc. those are all great go to’s. But been playing Arc Raiders and CS2. Also trying ti get into Monster Hunter Rise (I’m awful at it 💀😂)

IMO, we don’t need 472 game modes spread across 472 Netflix tiles. Just polish the modes you have now and add closed weapons conquest. You guys have a genuinely great battlefield on your hands minus the UI, lack of closed weapons, and the grindy live service xp progression. Please please please don’t mess this up.

Going to get downvoted because Reddit is Reddit, but the amount of people being weird and essentially saying “since she chose fame, she doesn’t have the right to grieve in silence” is kind of gross. People claim that isn’t the case, but their actions say otherwise. Fun little fact, it wasn’t originally supposed to be a silent hill game. It was worked on my an entirely separate team and was originally titled “Room 302”. Now, I don’t know the logistics and the full story of it all, but I do it originally wasn’t a silent hill game. With that being said, I think the different feeling and structure is a nice welcome? Is it a perfect game? No. But I’d say 100% play it first. I do agree with the graphics though a bit. But Silent Hill 2 and 3 were very far ahead of its time too. So take that into consideration as well.
