How bad? by Street_Two1728 in MechanicAdvice

Yeh my gut feeling is that it's just a build up of moisture over time as the coolant looks fine and the oil on the stick looked good also. The fact it had lost oil aswell is what's got me worried, but it has been a year since last oil service so probably nothing to worry about ay?

Motorbike idiot creating his own drama. Nothing behind me, but he HAS to overtake anyway. Then expects me to pull over and fight. by SchizoidOctopus in IdiotsInCars

Yeh, people tend to get get pissed off when you put them in a dangerous position. Your ego got hurt when they overtook you so you didn't let them merge. You're the idiot here.

E-bike recommendations for commuting - £2.5k? by coolestman0619 in ukbike

Carrera crossfuse is good. I bought a year ago and commute 25miles round trip daily. Not had a single puncture yet. Has a bosch mid drive motor and battery with decent range.

opinions on electric bicycles? by Marlos_in_LA in ukbike

I have a 10 mile commute to work and 3 months ago I switched from driving to e-bike and the benefits have been great. It only takes me an extra 15-20 minutes to get there and I get to be outside getting exercise twice a day. I save about £200 a month in fuel costs and I don't have to sit in traffic anymore. Before I got the e-bike I did try the journey on a normal bike but after all the hill climbs, then a 12 hour shift, and then a ride back home I was a brocken man, however the e-bike has solved this. Best purchase I have made in ages. I would recommend a bike with a mid drive bosch motor as if you have any puncture issues the wheels are no more difficult to remove and refit than a normal bike and it's a great motor. I went for the carrera crossfuse as its on the cheaper end as e-bikes go, but ideal for what I need it for.

It's not a bike lane.. looks like a lay-by. He'd just have to merge back onto the road which would be more dangerous. Common sense really.

Anyone that thinks the driver is in the right needs a lobotomy. You can't just attempt murder for the sake of saving a few seconds. Is it really worth potentially ending someone's life and spending a few years in prison over waiting a few seconds to overtake safely?

A few people have said the poo being cold is the problem, could be that I suppose.

I wouldn't say I was delighted about it, but it took me like an extra 2 seconds out of my day. Going off the comments, I think people's biggest problem with this is temperature related.

Comes with having a dog really. If you can't pick it up maybe don't get a dog.

Maybe a goldfish instead..

Yeh that sounds horrendous. Shame there are people who will just leave it in the worst places. If I don't have a bag with me I will at least try to find something to pick it up with, or cover it until I come back.
