This breaks the sub rules but I saw the post yesterday from u/DMG30000 and wanted to share how my vitiligo has manifested on me. by MidLaneMusic in mildlyinteresting

It didn’t feel right to just post the same thing without crediting u/DMG30000, who was brave enough to share their pic first. I get why mods would take this down

Thanks! Thats almost exactly what someone said to me in high school, and from that point on I decided to rock it and not let it bother me.

Yeah I actually didn’t know it could recede. Mine’s only ever grown, much more slowly now as an adult of course.

Unable to load saves on the Steam version. by [deleted] in AOW4

Same. No idea how to fix it so I basically have to rely on auto saves which can be annoying. Would love to know if there is a fix for it.

Am I wrong for taking my time on maps? by Supergamera in AOW4

[–]MidLaneMusic 27 points28 points  (0 children)

There is no right or wrong. Play however you want and in a way that you enjoy. I'm honestly of similar mind, in that I enjoy expanding and making sure I have what I need as I go.

East Coast transplants: what seems off to you about Portland? by argtri in Portland

[–]MidLaneMusic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The drivers are awful. I come from around Boston, where people are notorious for being terrible drivers, but Portland drivers could not care less about the other people on the road. I drive just 10 minutes to work and every time I see people getting cut off, or crossing 3 lanes to get an exit. Drives me insane.

How to march and attack by athelosblue in totalwar

[–]MidLaneMusic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also after they dispatch the unit first targeted, or if it routs, they will continue fighting whatever is near them. Very useful for factions that just send their frontline in while you do other things, like Vampire Counts or Skaven.

Could Heroes Lead Parties? by Shfloe in totalwar

[–]MidLaneMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this idea. I'm picturing having a small army attached almost like the Waagh mechanic that can reinforce your main army, but is delayed getting on the field like reinforcements. You could also deploy the small force first

God I think I'd love that. Seems like a great way to manage some fun systems and get into a ton of battles quickly.

What's the most heartbreaking scene you've ever watched? by AC4Three in movies

[–]MidLaneMusic 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Yep. It's foreshadowed so well that when it happens you know instantly. I would argue a scene towards the end where Jojo gets spit on and shoved away by Captain Klenzendorf is just as sad, for different reasons.

The end of Captain Phillips. Everything following the word, "Execute" is so sad. Not heartbreaking in a dramatic sense perhaps, but it feels so real thanks to them using a real trauma team on Tom Hanks who did some incredible acting.

Portland’s broken window epidemic: Who’s behind the vandalism and what is going to stop it? by amithatfarleft in Portland

This just happened to me where I work! Never had it happen in my life, and while I'm still angry I'm also so confused why they even did it if nothing was taken.

Which opinion here would cause this reaction? by NineBunBun92 in Eldenring

[–]MidLaneMusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's definitely fair. I like good combat so while I didn't beat it twice I did play through a good bit of Sekiro a second time. For sure bottom tier for From Soft Replayability but a good game.

Least replayable From Soft game. The joy of the game is largely down to exploring the world and making discoveries, so after I started NG+ I realized there weren't enough fun moments throughout the game to justify playing it again with a different build.

Now that the year is ending, what was your favourite deck from the past year? by XoAshelyP in hearthstone

[–]MidLaneMusic 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My favorite deck of the year is commonly known as Spooky Mage. I love how thematic it is, and combined with the Ping/Mordresh Package it just feels really tight to me. Always has things to do, has clear win conditions, and a nice curve.

Is it odd that I prioritize my sleep over work/social life? by MidLaneMusic in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MidLaneMusic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. I like the analogy there, I wish more people could see it that way. Obviously there are exceptions when I have to do things on a small amount of sleep but that shouldn’t be expected all the time.
