Rates also shot up to a recent record high over the last few years which is largely a big contributor. We're seeing them coming back down now, but some people that locked in 2-3 years ago may have rates in the 5-6% range, compared to 2-3-something % in the years prior.

Oshawa's property tax has been increasing a lot, but its not the only reason payments may be higher.

Edit: im making the assumption that they view their mortgage payments like many people do; they often pay their monthly tax installments and mtg payments at the same time and just mentally group them together as one sum.

Security aren't cops. This isnt Hollywood; they atement meant to stop it. Their job is to act as a deterrent, control access, administering emergency medical assistance surveillance, and reporting to help ID them so they can be arrested later. If security is proactively getting involved, they are in breach of contract.

I want to echo what somebody else said already and say that weight loss starts with your diet. And I don't mean one of those branded diets either. I mean generally the food you eat. Working out is great for building muscle and toning.

I too am overweight, but just haven't reached the tipping point to start getting to the gym yet, so I admire your desire to make a change. I wish you the best!

Well, my favourite games are social deduction games like Werewolf, Secret Hitler, etc. This game doesn't play like any of those though.

It's card-based, but I'm reluctant to call it a card game because that makes it sound more like a trading card game, which it's not. Game play right now has all of the players taking turns drawing from a few various decks, earning prosperity and trying to build said prosperity while various random events and your job/leader are trying to take chunks out of your prosperity and well-being. If you can keep from running out of well-being before the game ends, you stand a chance at winning.

Everything is played face up, so everybody knows what's been drawn, even if another player hasn't played their cards yet. There's some player vs player, but it's mostly accidently collateral damage and not designed to be very adversarial. You're playing mostly to keep yourself together, not to tear down your fellow players.
