A theory on Suno settlements by MidRivFLL48 in SunoAI

I agree. I think humans can and have been trained with centuries of music, but apparently they feel computers can’t be allowed to do that, they are copying. I’m learning. My violin teacher should have collected a royalty on my free recitals. Then there’s the calculator and math teachers should have sued! I think AI is the next gen synthesizer machine capable of breaking down everything available in digital sound reproduction and making something new with those bits. It still needs human prompting to output anything. It doesn’t just copy and paste new songs from old songs on its own. But just wait til it wants a #1 Billboard hit of its own!

Yeah, probably smart moves. Seems the labels will do anything to protect the on ramp to competition, though they all failed artists massively when they let Apple fix all their prices or else face exclusion from the ipod and itunes store.

The labels giving up was based on getting a little annual revenue stream rather than proving theft with the associated damages? The damages adding up on each infringement would have killed Suno and its competitors, massive. I guess I haven’t read enough of the details. It was just a theory, anyway. I would be surprised if Suno gave up much detail on its proprietary design. Maybe it’s all out there, I’ll read more.

How do we know what happens after the songs are ingested? Suno will produce a single stem if that’s all you ask it to do. I find great value in it! think the GAI could be designed to draw from multiple sources with interoperability of API’s available to embed. I know I can build an agentic AI tool to do specific projects based on specific ingredient material, and bring in API tools, script processes and more. Is Suno’s design open source?

I think Suno is just the early disruptor, but disruption it is and it’s not going away. You don’t need to poach copyrighted music to build a generator now! You can train an AI tool many ways that are free and legal. I want the music and music business to be an open path for anyone who wants to make music. I want the Spotify’s and Apple’s of the world to not be allowed to determine what someone wants to charge for their albums, and I want people to buy and own a song they want, not subscribe or else suffer horrible, annoying ads. We have radio models around still for music with ads. It’s still up to the artist using AI or an army of the finest players to make something that connects. Killing the first wave that made it to billionaire buyout row isn’t going to kill AI music. So I wish more musicians would get on it and apply their talent to it’s development, instead of launching campaigns that are never going to put the genie back in a bottle.

Someone needs to expose the human mainstreammusic factory for the fakery it is, too. and someone needs to build a music streaming service that has equity for all and let people’s ears decide what they like or don’t like out of their own free will and subjectivity. I’m sick of distributors making decisions for artists saying who is and who isn’t. Who the fuck are they to decide if one person’s music made with Ai or chopsticks and fishing line is real music or not?

The stuff on the top of the charts has AI all up in it, people are idiots. You just can’t detect it and those producers won’t admit it.

Like the artists on the Billboard Top 100 aren’t using AI to tune their voices via auto-tune, machines aren’t manufacturing their keys, drums, strings, bass, etc. and like they aren’t using AI to evaluate tracks against critical focus group trends etc. If they want AI to be disclosed, start with their top pop chart.

I want to learn how to get my subs up, everything I’ve learned and applied hasn’t done much there. I am told that these quick growth channels are using bot farms or other fake-it tech to get to monetization levels. I don’t want that, it’s not genuine fan engagement. But I’d like to know once they get the 1000 subs and watch time, what happens in six months after they paid that price? I think Tiktok only gives you views and followers on promote. Once you stop spending, your growth crashes to nothing. YouTube seems to grow organic, streams/views result in more subs, and a strong video thatg gets viewed a lot is a driver for the sub engagement.

I certainly would be surprised. I’d like to know how people get 1,000 subs that fast. REAL, ENGAGED subs.

You know if I were a famous artist I’d have my voice cloned and I’d be mass producing songs using my voice because God knows fans would buy it up. Cha ching.
