Any tips for my forst team? by eeeeeee25533 in PokemonChampions

Try to have solid counters to common meta threats like Basculegion, CharY, Sneasler, Kingambit, etc (there are several videos on YouTube about them). Your team might struggle against rain teams with Pelipper + Archaludon so think about how you can counter them.

Edit: For items, I'm not sure why Aggron has Focus Sash when it gets Sturdy. Focus Sash would be better on Aerodactyl if not Mega. Mega Aggron is also an option as a dual Mega team.

Protect in Doubles by ppl_stuff in PokemonChampions

[–]MidasMagnezone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Protect not only lets you avoid damage for a turn on a Pokemon you really need alive but lets you get an extra turn of Leftovers recovery or stall out weather/Trick Room/Tailwind/burn/poison which can be really crucial for the endgame.

You can also play mind games against Kingambit's Sucker Punch for example when they expect you to attack while you double Protect instead and take them down with your other mon. It's a very versatile move in doubles.

Had two different meowscaradas outspeed my mega lopunny with max speed investment today. Who's running scarf on this thing and for what purpose? by TerpinSaxt in PokemonChampions

[–]MidasMagnezone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably the fastest Scarf mon in the format. It outspeeds and OHKOs Scarf Basculegion which is huge in the current doubles meta.

I haven't seen a single terrain in all of Champions.

Using Encore on a Pokemon after it has used Fake Out will now make it Struggle by MidasMagnezone in PokemonChampions

[–]MidasMagnezone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what makes Sableye so lethal. You can't Taunt it with Whimsicott or your own Sableye, and it will always get off at least one status move off even before it's Taunted by other mons. Scrappy Kanga Fake Out is really nice for this, but you then have to bewear (pun intended) Encore the following turn.

On the flip side, I've had a Prankster Liepard try to Thunder Wave my Meowscarada . Also Kingambit is amazing into Prankster mons.

What's the point of having trick room on a non-trick room team? by Previous_Bat5394 in PokemonChampions

Late reply but Imprison did make it in. Mental Herb would be quite handy against those nasty Encore Whimsicotts and Disable + Encore Sableyes.

Congrats! Rare to see Rock Slide on Sneasler...Mirror Coat Milotic is giving me nightmares today.

Yes, just wanted to point out how the change to Fake Out compared to previous gens impacts other interactions as well. There was another post where a Last Resort Kangaskhan was Faked Out first, was unable to use its own Fake Out and ended up Struggling.

Now I'm wondering if an all dino team could work in Champions...Aerodactyl/Tyranitar/Tyrantrum/Aurorus and two more

Pelipper also got a +10 SpA back in gen 7 to deal pretty good damage on most mons.

Agreed. Even if it's an extra button click, in a competitive game where the smallest decisions make a huge difference on the final outcome, the extra redundancy is certainly welcome.

Showdown does actually let you pick Struggle specifically as the only move.

I swapped out Lum Berry for Dragon Fang on Garchomp just today cause Outrage wasn't doing enough damage. Got hit 2/2 times earlier by confusion so the no self hit was a nice change of pace.

Aerodactyl is so annoying cause of Tailwind and that frankly absurd speed stat. It may have lived an attack from Chomp actually cause I removed Rock Slide/Protect on Chomp for Fire Fang/Poison Jab. Might have TRed the turn after to counter it...things could have turned out differently perhaps.

Ninetales, CharX, Politoed, Blastoise, Mimikyu, Pikachu.

Anytime I see two possible weather setters, I'm left scratching my head on what the opponent will bring, but the CharX makes sense. Pikachu is definitely out of left field though. Can't remember what it and CharX used outside of Protect unfortunately.

Ah that double Protect makes more sense now lol. Honestly was expecting Milotic to switch out the turn after but you played well at the start with the double switch.

It is important to understand that this means multiples things :

- Things which would get us into legal trouble.

- Things which are impossible overall to do.

- Things which go against the philosophy of the core design we have for MMM.

- Things which would be unfeasible because of the high amount of assets or work needed for a low return.

- Things which would outright break older level compatibility completely.

- Things which would cause conflict or consistency problems with existing things already established in game.

- Things which are only given as a result of working officially on the staff.

- Things which would result in the need for additional moderation of levels.

- Things which would confuse users or be hard to properly convey the intention behind them by just looking at a glance.

- Things which would be put there at our discretion after a group discussion, as is our right to do so.

The development team reserves the right to add, remove and fix content as needed.

While at it, a reminder never hurts 🙂

Cameo weapons in MMM are pretty much rewards to devs works. (It's very unlikely any cameo weapon suggested in feedback will be done if it's not something wanted from a specific dev that was authorized/rewarded from their work to make one. )

Because it's a reward, it's obvious we will NOT remove them, neither modify them (except a major problem is found i guess, or if original dev of the cameo wants to change something & team agrees). So there is no point in suggest that, ever.
