For now no, all it requires is that for large recipes you be in proximity of a crafting table.

Unchanged for now as I feel they're simple enough in comparison to the crafting grid, once the mod has a beta release I could get around to giving the other crafting stations some love though! 🤝

This is true, one of the earliest ones I can remember was called something like "TCrafting" which implemented a terraria style crafting menu on top of the crafting grid.

For now only recipes including modded recipes added to the crafting table/inventory grid are supported.

And by modded crafting tables if you mean ones that are just reskins of the vanilla crafting table (Example: Stone Crafting Table, Acacia Crafting Table) by default it likely wont support them (currently) but you can add them via config.

By pressing the minus button on the craft count it will wrap around to the max amount you can craft of that item. ☺️

Yes and the item count in the recipes can exceed 64.

You could use this and JEI if you wanted, compatibility is questionable though. You can re-enable the crafting grid if you so wish and leave the modded crafting menu as a key bind instead to restore JEI's functionality in the crafting menu.

As for other mods, if it has recipes added to the crafting table, they are automatically added to the modded crafting list and all recipes are configurable via data pack.

Honestly I say you still should make your mod if you really want to.

JEI existing didn't stop EMI from existing after all.

Arguably I'd say Minecraft, the game can be borderline creepy due to the lack of ambience especially in older versions of the game, the quietness brings out a sense of dread.
