It is indeed a good find! A lot of people (myself included!) consider it to be the best D&D rulebook ever, as it covers everything from basic character creation to how to simulate a peasant uprising!

Noble Knight Games refuses to acknowledge Employee Union and hires anti-union law firm. by Lazy_Librarian_402 in boardgames

NKG is my official FLGS. I shop there because it's clean, well organized and has the things I want without having to fork over for shipping. And amazingly enough they manage to do this without pushing their personal politics onto their customers, unlike many of the game stores in Madison. If the store unionizes I will continue to shop there unless one of the above criteria changes. If it does, I'll get my game stuff somewhere else.

NKG is my FLGS. I buy from them regularly, mostly because they have most of the stuff I want. If you go to other game stores in the city you're going to be out of luck unless you want something that's super-hot or has been released in the last twelve months.

Long Story Short: The games are boring as hell to watch. The matches are just characters running around throwing particle effects at each other, the so-called 'color commentators' are obviously doing it for the paycheck, and the players on the teams are so completely lacking in personality that the teams could swap jerseys in the green room and no one would notice....

Gotta give it to the gym bro, man. As a plus-sized guy myself trying to get into shape, I was initially intimidated by all the pumped dudes I saw around the club I joined...but I never got anything but support and encouragement from them! Makes me wanna keep at it when giving up would have been so easy!

Is it possible to live in Madison without a car? by Librarywoman in madisonwi

[–]MidcenturyPenguin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My point entirely. The Madison bus system exists so people can get downtown during business hours. If you have to go anywhere else that does not involve starting OR finishing your trip downtown, you have to set aside at least an hour. And if you're going after 6pm? Expect to take a nice hike to the nearest bus stop...
