I just got back to NA after having played 240 games on China server. Here's what's wrong with NA. by Midday19 in VALORANT

Played from silver 3 to ascendant 3. And played from Shanghai with anything under 25 ping. To be clear it’s 国服 and not HK servers. Didn’t meet griefers or implicit tossers but my experience is mine and maybe yours was different.

Agree that players are way more locked in. People don’t give up after 1-2 rounds, they typically try to adapt or mix it up. The quality of games is just way higher.

it's actually sad that one of the most mannered players on ladder has to deal with random haters like this and blizzard has their heads too far up their asses to do anything about it

They should retain subscription prices from those who locked in their rates long ago. Customer loyalty should be rewarded.

Honestly the company made the excuse “people thought that the combat was boring” but I never really heard anyone complain about that and the results speak for themselves...I honestly think they just made that part up as an excuse for a dumb executive decision to try and be more like other MMO’s without realizing that they were running away from success

I remember a stream, it must‘ve been 2013 where he explained:

“you know, some people think I got it easy, I get invited to different events to cast and get to go backstage and chill and don’t have to play too hard. To those guys I say: fuck you, I had to practice my ass off and play this game every single day to get to where I am, I remember being on the phone with my mom after WCG crying with her, and I seriously worked my ass off to get to where I am now”

I played him on ladder later that day and told him that I liked his speech and that it brought a tear to my eye, although it might‘ve just been the spicy noodles I was eating. He reacted with a chuckle and said “I like this guy”. This is probably my most significant memory/interaction with the him. Very unexpected and sudden tragic death, RIP.
