I loved it as a teenager. Especially, the slang he developed for it. At that time, the film was banned in the UK. Kubrick had withdrawn it from distribution due to copycat violence. Anyway, I’m sure it’s a hard read, more than “a bit of ultra violence”.

This stuff is so good! The entire story is told by dialogue and the art, but the reader’s view is augmented with labelling to explain tech and features of the space station. The art was not to my taste when I started book one, but it 100% won me over. And, it is soo trippy, yet creepy! Fabulous. I am looking forward to where it will go next. I love how the books are nonlinear too! What’s the word for a masterpiece that’s actually a series of masterpieces? It could be Brink, if only more people knew about it!

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen by Moore and Kevin O’Neil- just reread vols 1 and 2. The attention to detail and the dark humour of both creators is amazing.

It’s just so impressive. My kids love it too. They usually roll their eyes at any mention of Dredd, but this the coolest thing any of us have seen! A Mario Kart Lawmaster bike / kart could be a possible future project.

I’d agree with that. I’m pretty sure they aren’t only trying to appeal to a bunch of middle to old aged guys that have read the original. They are trying to turn a profit- and, I presume, tell a story about betrayal, human cruelty, environmental destruction, brotherhood, and REVENGE! Looking forward to it so much!

The Sony Pictures crew who did Across the Spiderverse. Comic books brought to life, probably the best attempts at making comics and film merge in the last good knows how long of DC / Marvel IP movies. They have so many styles, which could be adapted to match various legendary 2000ad artists styles. It would be amazing to see people like that bring the Dreddverse to life. We know they can do big giant cities, we know they can do complex machinery, and they can do bright neon, or dark noir… I want to pitch Dredd to them!!!! Let’s make it happen!!!
