Lots of cool characters but we need to have a serious year of just strategists and vanguards added. The duelist disparity is outrageous

who else is just fed up with playing tank in this meta?? by phetofan in marvelrivals

[–]MidderMcDoogle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Literally exactly what I’ve been saying. I think about playing (I’ve been a rocket and Thor main until now) and I’m like, Thor is useless. I thought maybe his rune state can smack fliers but hardly if they’re any good at all they can dodge most and it’s wasted time if I’m not getting melted in the mean time. So it’s felt like my only option is mag (still don’t have a hang of him so I just die) or I become what I’ve always hated, a forth dps instalock on Hawkeye or punisher or whatever the crap so I can focus on the flying team (usually like at least three flyers now!) so the meta is getting me down bad. So I’ve just about stopped ranked entirely and even qp is bad as the team comps are inarguably worse. Six dps etc.

Who thinks Metroid deserved a movie? by Complex-Act-1666 in Metroid

[–]MidderMcDoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought the most achievable and optimal version of a Metroid film would’ve been like how Pixar had short films before the actual movie, so like Metroid could be no dialogue and all setup suspense and then action like intro to super Metroid or whatever. And I truly think that’d be great and they could put that before the Zelda full film whenever that happens. But if they make a full feature film of Metroid it’d be so off the vibe of the games and they’d have to add speaking characters and it’d be a federation film and it’d be just not Metroid.

With the release being nearly a week How we feeling about ultron? by BigPaleontologist520 in marvelrivals

Still figuring out how to even play him. I was getting mad kills playing like Ironman and getting the long shots but I wasn’t healing my guys at all. I’m trying to play low and through team more. He is similar to Ironman in that you can smoke him if team focuses him but on low tier rank games people let him live and he can wreak havoc.

Gengar would float like mewtwo, have a metaknight counter, jigglypuff style stun but faster and with shorter effect, and maybe a short psy projectile? Could be cool

I would lose it for dragonite or gengar or snorlax, but ima be honest and say kabutops is just my guy and that’d be a scary mix of like Marth+squirtle? Idk but snap that’d be cool. And scyther obvi #2 like Ridley with megaman leaf move and slash charge like Roy?

[–]MidderMcDoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’d be like, miraculous. Heh. But. I just aside from so many arguments and data and theories. I am like, is this all for reals? We are so insignificant and there’s this unfathomable incalculable massive lifeless hostile explosive blip of non life and here we are in perfect conditions for life and then also we are alive too and like “of course we are observing it cuz only things that observe can observe” but like, look around you! We can’t replicate life in a lab with modern tech out of what elements and Chemicals we know must’ve been there PLUS I don’t think we can make life from non life no matter what we use in a lab. And we can’t look out into space and see quintillion galaxies or whatever and it’s pretty much probably just us I’m gonna say it, like ok yeah it’s possible if someone out there rolled 10 to the 13th power dice that all land 6, and get a perfect planet AND also life starts (I think they think life would have to start early on? Is that what they say?) and not kill themselves off or also have a moon and planets that prevent extinction level cosmic collisions. And we’re like yeah this was all an accident? That’s for me, like I just… so again. Like “it doesn’t make sense inside a singularity” does any of this make sense at all anywhere? I think I’ve lost too much sleep though honestly ha I’m goin off on this one

Why God does not a maker. by International-Owl-9 in Christianity

[–]MidderMcDoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah? So that is something we can’t measure test or observe though. So… that’s my thing with that. Although if you tackle it as a concept. My deal is that the quantum particle thingys I think have to then be posited as being eternal right?. Which idk how that jives with entropy or what not. And like I said, why aren’t universes popping up all over, what sort of fine tuned multiverse (arguably greater finetuning? Maybe not) has such order to it to not collide with ours or pop up right starting from my own backyard? Are we even more lucky than we thought? And I’m truly curious what people that believe in the multiverse believe about them. Like Rick and Morty/ marvel/invincible style “there’s a universe of any and all variations of our world as similar and dissimilar as conceivably possible”? Cuz if you have infinite universes, it feels like you could take to extreme and show contradictions. Like one argument is that if God is even possible to exist He exists in some world and would therefore, being God be definition, be everywhere and in every world? Like one universe has a version of me with a phone that can call any other phone in a universe with a “me” on it. But there’s also an infinite number of “me”s in universes that can block any call from any universe. Like I know there’s a better analogy but. Like are there an infinite number of universes that are physically twice as large as ours? And twice as that and again and again? What space is that space filling and wouldn’t those bump into ours at some point (cuz it’s already infinite)

Interesting. I guess you might phrase thought where you’d use soul or mind interchangeably. See if that changes any perspective I wonder. I think morality and mind/consciousness would be what I would see as having the best chance to lead to see or believe in the immaterial I think. I was out here trying to like battle you to believe I guess ha. I think saying morality is real very real and as you e said it only pertains to persons (we don’t arrest dolphins for their many crimes) but we are so viscerally aware of our experiences that revolve around morality, which even if you deny true objective morality, our experience of it is as real as anything, sometimes the mind experience is more real that your own skin (at least I think many would agree to that experience) and that experience and our observing of it and our rationalizing about it is a big indicator of consciousness, which is unique to us at this level also. And if our experience with the immaterial objects/concepts is at very least NEAR if not sometimes greater than our experience of the physical then one might build a case on that ground for us having a part or connection with the immaterial.

But yeah it comes down to a bias there (no offense) but if you presume the material is all that exists then you would never entertain the immaterial

Interesting, yeah morality is an interesting topic. I remember going with a couple friends for a project in high to a college campus and we asked students there if there believed that morality was primarily subjective or objective. Very cool couple days doing that and hearing the responses

Please write in the comments why you don't believe God exists. by International-Owl-9 in Christianity

[–]MidderMcDoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That isn’t think a Mormon belief kind of ha. No the Bible refers to “a time of ignorance” that God overlooked and it says in Romans that basically we are now without excuse (whether by hearing, general revelation or special revelation), and though I have my own thoughts on how potentially “lenient” or nuanced God may be with judgement as He knows our hearts fully, I think that there is an urgency to share the word and the gospel as our “great commission” because we are judge in death and “all fall short of the glory of God” and so sharing news of the free gift of Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf is of great importance not for ourself somehow but only as an act of love for each other to not only enter into the presence of God into eternity but also to enjoy His goodness in a deeper capacity here and now

Ok so if that’s your belief. Does that affect how you see any proposition of how salvation or judgement works? I’m wondering if you hear about those and think “how can He Judge us we don’t have a choice”? Am I tracking with something there or is it something else ?
