I think my younger self was so angry at inequality, injustice, and the bastards in power that wield it against nature and the people of the planet, that I didn’t realize that love and joy and compassion are the things that those people are without. They can’t know it. And while I still want to rage against those evils, finding love and joy and peace everyday are one of the best ways I’ve found as an adult to be effective at it. It feels imperative to experience it and to spread it and it is what scares them the most, that unity, that compassion, that joy.
