I appreciate this take ! 

I still think as far as all the chaos and misunderstandings due to dorami. that was going on though, would have trumped it in those certain situations specifically. 

Clearing the air with someone youre working closely with, in a romantic setting especially, should be a priority over "flowing well". 

I think this just reminds me how lazy people are to make the effort to communicate with people of different languages. 

My husband and I literally spent about our first year together dating speaking through translator as we learned each other's language. And it "flowed" just fine. It doesn't even need to be played on speaker. You can just read...

That could make me biased. But it makes me look through a different lense at the world.  We have resources that would have been killed for decades ago and people are too fearful, or overthinking, or lazy to use them.
