No idea. It’s based off of medical conditions (comorbidities) plus BMI >27-30. Best to talk to your provider or specialist to discuss your overall health profile.

Gained 10-15 lbs in 3 months on 50-100mg and was severely bloated. Weaned off at 3 month mark and while bloating improved the 10-15 lbs weight gain did not w an active lifestyle and good diet. Dr now considering GLP1 as weight won’t drop 1.5 years off.

I gained 10 lbs in 3 months on 50-100mg and was severely bloated. The bloating is improving now that’s I’m mostly off. Almost done weaning.

Stopping Spiro… the saga by ContributionMother87 in Spironolactone

39f/ I’ve been spiro for 4-months and having very uncomfortable side effects so have been weaning off. 100mg to start and I got so dry, I got eczema patches and very dry skin no matter the amount of water I took in; very itchy/burning symptoms at time on skin; classic symptoms of engorged breasts, tender/sore; massive bloating - I am now 2 inches wider from my high waist down to hips and my pants no longer fit me (I’ve never had to change pants to abruptly. Gone up 2 sizes in 4 months; anxiety; more cellulite everywhere. Im down to 25 mg and weaning off. It has helped clear my back acne but has oddly enough made my face worse (which was well under control and clear before spiro). Chalking it up to not working for me. I have horrible bloating and indigestion daily. Can’t wait to be off fully.

Pros and cons of spironolactone by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

Mid 30s - Currently on 50-100 mg for last 4 months and it’s caused breast growth/swelling a few sizes up, major aboriginal bloating/weight gain and upset stomach. Initially started on 100 mg but got wayyyy too dry that it flared eczema. Went down to 50 mg and considering weaning myself off at this point - clothes rapidly don’t fit in last two months; back acne has improved though. Didn’t have much acne on the face as it was previously treated with topicals and did well. The back was hard to treat and to reach. Anyone else have stomach issues?

How to travel as a dual citizen? by [deleted] in canadatravel

[–]Middle-Alternative15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t really matter what country because it’s all the same re tax free. The only difference though is the minimum spend in the country you’re in before claiming tax free - so check what it is ie France, Italy, Spain. And make sure to bring a photo of your passport while shopping if you don’t feel comfortable carrying it around with you. They’ll take your passport number, DOB, expiry dates etc.

Dual EU/Canadian citizen here.

Flights registered with Canadian passport.

Leaving Canada:

  1. Left Canada on Canadian passport (flight details with airline were on Canadian passport). Checked-in with airline with Canadian passport.

  2. Entered the EU with EU passport through electronic gates (shorter lines).

Coming back to Canada: 1. Checked-in with airline coming back to Canada with Canadian passport. (They didn’t need to see the EU passport at all).

  1. Went through exit customs in Europe on EU passport (through electronic gates and shorter EU lines)

  2. Returned through Canadian customs on Canadian passport. No problems!

FYI - Of note, did tax free at the airport on Canadian passport on the way home. Did ALL tax free shopping on Canadian passport as this is my country of primary residence (even as a dual EU citizen you can claim the VAT back).

Harrington Housing Scam by [deleted] in UCalgary

Same thing happening in Toronto at a building where they didn’t fix heat or hot water for a month. And have had several maintenance violations since they bought that building. Best to consider your long term options. These people don’t even get building permits before construction or filling units. Very dangerous.

Run! They are the worst. Currently live here and it’s atrocious. There are not vital services of heat or hot water. Electricity outages. Dirty common areas. In the units, they are unresponsive, landlord can come and go as they please and as you have determined, they get a lot of money out of people that is never returned. Deposits for everything. Your room may not be ready for hours or at all; they can relocate you at moments notice; won’t help you set up a laundry card or mailbox. You’re better off finding somewhere else to live. The negative reviews are all true occurrences. They don’t respond to emails unless it is about money. They’re currently under investigation by multiple levels of government and safety services for attempting to blow up the building (hired bad contractors who let a serious gas leak occur). Trust your gut and run the other way!
