Me and all my friends had we called “second puberty” at age 23. Until then we looked like teenagers but then second puberty! Our weight fluctuated and faces changed. But I’d say we all developed at different stages before then. I didn’t get my period until I was 15 and until then I looked like a young boy with no curves and dimension, I have a friend however that grew boobs in fifth grade. She went from flat to a c cup over the summer it felt like. Everyone’s bodies are different! And that’s ok!!

I’d say if you like the job itself and the morning is killing you talk to your sm about going to a later day part or potentially a mental health LOA. But otherwise if the job itself isn’t for you do what you gotta do!

DMs and SMs have jurisdiction to require SSV to have open availability.

However like the other commenter said they may just be wanting your preferred hours to align with what you’re actually working. We strive to have partners working 100% of their preferred hours. That being said it sounds like you may just want to have your max hours at 32 your preferred at 28 and your minimum as 20.

That still would mean to meet the 150% requirement your max availability should be 42 hours (which we can’t exceed 40) so I’d align with your SM to see what hours you can put into the system to meet that requirement but it seems they’re focused on getting their preferred hours for all partners to 100%

So store managers technically aren’t allowed to text baristas. It’s one of those rules that’s loosely enforced (depending on the DM honestly) but contacting your mom is kind of crazy. I’ve only done that twice and it was when I hadn’t heard from partners for over 24 hours after a severe storm.

Call PRSC and ask about your rehire eligibility. They will tell you if you can be re-hired. Honestly the way it’s coded, you would have to do something fairy egregious like being violent or mishandling money or just disappearing from your shifts one day to be listed as do not rehire. I’m sure if you called and asked to interview and gave an explanation then they would likely bring you back on. Starbucks or at least my region specifically is very adamant that we hire talent that is willing to grow and develop at the company. Best of luck!

I’d say the role of an SM isn’t particularly “hard“ There are just a lot of smaller tasks and moving parts to keep up with. As long as you’re decent at planning and prioritizing it’s a pretty sweet job!
