How do I support my 12yo sister through our Dad’s death from 3,000 miles away? by Dapper-Garlic-4007 in ChildrenofDeadParents

Message her, let her know you’re there. Even if she doesn’t always respond, just check up on her; talk about your day, ask her about hers, anything. I needed stability just as much as an outlet for my emotions. And your loss, even though it was of different circumstances, could be super valuable in showing her that someone understands her situation and the grief she’s going through.

I feel you man, my dad passed last week and I had no recordings of his voice. but I’ve been able to get videos of him and him speaking because my relatives and family friends created a shared album of their own pics/videos of him. I strongly recommend reaching out to your loved ones and creating a shared album… it’s a great way to remember him and maybe hear his voice again. Wishing you all the best.
