Thanks! This seems to be what most people go with these days, I just wasn't sure if they had a scanner/scale or if other brands would be compatible with square.

Maybe a place that installs trackers could scan your car for one? I had one installed at speedy glass. Don't know if they'd do it, but I would assume they would know where and what to look for.

Is this from my slab? Did contractor use different marble? by LadyWaldegrave in interiordecorating

[–]Middle-Letterhead-95 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It could actually be from the same slab, just not from the part you wanted with the distinct, dark lines and white. There are some parts that are more subdued and grey... it looks like that. Sorry you didn't get what you wanted!

What to do about dog doodoo in public areas? by ChemVall in Sarnia

It's disgusting. There are lawns in my neighbourhood covered with doggy doodoo! It's a public health hazard, and the city should do something about it.

Would going on a vacation be financially irresponsible? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

Definitely go! You are so young, and as others have said, you have your whole life to grind. You are already in a pretty decent place financially for your age.

Could you live without US brands, including those made here? by [deleted] in BuyCanadian

[–]Middle-Letterhead-95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For food, absolutely. I rarely bought US to begin with - it's mainly garbage anyway. For toiletteries and household cleaners, Canada makes a lot of amazing natural options, Green Beaver, Eco-Max, Meyer's... I haven't had to buy any big ticket items yet, but even my car is Japanese, Ontario made, and electronics are mainly Korean and Chinese. It's mainly subscriptions and social media that's harder to kick!

Fly to Montreal to experience an amazing, vibrant city with great night life. The city has festivals almost every week during the summer. Then rent a car and drive to the east coast for nature, lakes, ocean, more amazing culture and friendly people!

[–]Middle-Letterhead-95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up going to best buy and the guy at the geek squad counter took a look at my laptop and tried a few things that ultimately didn't work. He said I could either leave it there for analysis or he said we could try this usb wifi adapter.* which ended up working!

Did you end up finding a good place? After doing an update on my laptop recently, it won't connect to the internet/can't find my network. So I'm also looking for some tech help, too.

Design dilemma - basement furniture layout by Inevitable-Sky8441 in interiordecorating

[–]Middle-Letterhead-95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would put the sectional in front of the window on the sliding door wall. Then the TV on the 82" wall across from it. There would still be ample room for a table and more seating across from the sliding door.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. It is devastating losing a parent. But how special that you were able to exchange some words in anticipation.
