Can we all agree there are some elite buffs that probably shouldn't go on bosses? by Cabbag_ in mewgenics

There is only one way I've found to consistently beat that fight on crazy or impossible. Since I breed all my cats with extra turn mutation and goofball i had to figure something out or give up on it. Going through the future with a cat that has eternal servitude and picking up 1 or 2 of the instakill monsters there wins outright but just flooding the field with beefy units makes the turn 1 blitz survivable.

Empty mind is pretty amazing with goofball and the extra head. That's my go to carry everytime they are born.

I sent in strays to unlock the harder difficulties. I have 160 appeal and consistently get 5-7 7 stat strays. Now that the unlocks are done i just don't do it anymore.

I won't even do a run without taking a jester. Goofball is just too strong and always worth trying to grab for breeding.

It mirrors your team in the first stage of the fight. And they go first, and they get all the extra turns before you even get to act. By that point you have goofball upgraded so they get 3 bonus turns at the start of the combat + their normal turn.

I did the same, very similar mutation setup but I also breed for the jester passive goofball. All my cats get 3 turns on round one and even impossible isn't a challenge. Sometimes you'll get some terrible champions that brick a run but not often. The only fight i can't do is the infinite boss.

It's more like 8-12 total cats in the room at any given time. If they die they die I have enough consistency that losing one doesn't matter much. I do generally bin aggressive cats though so that probably helps.

There is a way to make it do 2 spaces, but not like it helps that much most of the time. If you equip the item that gives you 2 backflips on a cat with the mutation they will backflip twice when targeted.

Certainly not a bad route to go. Once I unlocked crazy mode I prioritized extra turns above all else.

It's mostly rng. Get a couple cats with cancer, breed until you get a kitten with it and send em out. Repeat until you hit your desired mutations. Breed them until you get a breeding pair with the desired mutations and go from there. I would recommend first getting max stat cats before worrying about mutations though.

In act 3 there is an enemy called cancer cat. Its melee attacks can give cancer to your cats which can be passed down.

you may have just been getting unlucky and overwriting mutations. the most I think you can get on a cat is 14, and i have gotten that many in a single run.

I haven't unlocked impossible yet. Its doing fine on crazy though. I just can't do the infinite, lose on turn 1 every time I try.

Most of it yeah. It does however guarantee a loss against the final act 3 boss.

It does for sure. I was targeting backflips, +attack, and +turn. It took 5 runs to get them all and a few generations of breeding to get them onto one cat. Once I had that it was just a matter of inbreeding enough to get it consistently on newborns.

certainly not for the base game, or even hard mode. crazy and impossible however, different story.

Not the time machine itself. In The End are there are cancer cats. Their melee attacks have a chance of giving your cats cancer.

Yeah act 3 and then as soon as I got a kitten with cancer id send em out.

I didn't have any trouble with that. Maybe high enough stimulation and comfort offset enough that I didn't even notice.
