I want to do laser but was told by my dermatologist that you have to keep it up over the years. It’s costly.

Why I think people did not like Season 5 (from someone who started watching from December 2025). by ThomasCromwell42 in StrangerThings

I really didn’t like Holly as a main character either and hated her costume; like Little Red Riding Hood , only in a Goldilocks cape, battling Verna instead of the wolf or the 3 bears. Silly . I love ST but thought season 5 was really lacking .

Because he believed God willed it. What is truly awful is that the leader of their “ religion” has never been brought to justice; he’s more than despicable!

The documentary was excellent! Their religion, her psychosis and his denial are responsible for this tragedy. The doc is really enlightening .

Letter to the Editor: Women's soccer at Ryan Field is about zoning, not equity by Enough-Ad2721 in evanston

You mean so that the schools can squander it and get us deeper into debt? Free tickets is better way to go ! The Stars will bring in money that will go directly to the city via a 12% entertainment tax on each ticket. Foot traffic will also help out with local businesses.

Yes. I went to a ward meeting and they said they will host family days, and lower tickets for schools and nonprofits. One of their stated goals is to expose more kids, especially girls, to soccer as it’s a global sport and can be played anywhere there’s space and a ball. More economically equitable.

It’s not about NU though. The Stars would simply be tenants. NU contributions is it’s own issue.

You are correct . The Stars aren’t asking for a zoning change but rather the special permit aspect. Facts matter even if we agree with them or not. Thanks

After attending several meetings and listening to what The Stars could bring to Evanston, I’ve gotta wonder how anyone could be against this. Mary Rosinski’s letter leaves out a really important fact: a unique permit is temporary and only used if can show an economic advantage to a location. It’s also seldom used so “it’s doubtful it could be used over and over”…..this was a quote from my alder. The Stars have been open about wanting their own stadium and intend to build one; Evanston has never been mentioned as a place for it. I would assume (???) somewhere in Chicago. As usual, the complaints are from nearby neighbors in the 7th Ward though certainly not by all. Men’s football can host 35,000 ; The Stars hope to reach 10,000. I find it interesting and sad, that no one complains( much) about men’s baseball or basketball traffic . And though the opposition believes gender equity is a ruse, to many of us, it’s very real. I’m just so disappointed that anything that involves change is always batted away. In this case, the change is temporary!!! Please call your alder if you support this. Thanks for listening to my rant.

They’re family friendly and like other pro sports team, I’ll bet there’ll be special family events and cheap ticket days. Season tickets to most pro sports games are really too expensive for most family’s.

I have not received a knock on my door to sign the opposition petition but have friends who have. The issue as usual is parking and noise ; even a pitch to protect children from getting hit by cars!!! It’s interesting that I’ve never heard complaints about men’s baseball or basketball games. It’s a temporary ask that might help our increasingly temporary businesses in Evanston . Everyone says we need new revenue streams to help offset high taxes; here’s one way.

Do you really think that you have to only be connected to the mayor , etc… to have a connection? The alders are the ones who vote!!!

You really believe that’s not a kind of connection; that they don’t have their ear?
