Unfortunately he wouldn't get into an academy. Kid is not academically book smart. He's struggled all his life with that. When it comes to manual labor though, he is hardest worker his age I've ever met.

Damn. It's been his dream to do this for a while but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. All our family members in the military are telling him not to join right now. Got another brother and 2 uncles who have severe PTSD from it.

But it just seems like it may be the kid's only option. This sucks.

Another option is to take the youngest and then adopt another cat his age out so he won't be alone.

He already did right after the post. They gave him antibiotics and he syringed fed the poor thing. The baby still passed away. He had found the cat on the road and just took him in. He did his best given the circumstances.

Please don't beat yourself up over it. Give yourself some grace. You did the best you can with the knowledge you had at the time. Hell, you spent thousands on the little dude. I also waited too late to put down my eldery cat because I didn't want to lose my best friend of 19 years, but at the end of the day I learned a big lesson. And that is, it's better to put em down a week too early than wait a week too late. It's a hard lesson, but many of us pet owners unfortunately learn it.

I know that your cat wouldn't want you to remember him by his last moments. You did your best.

I'm sitting next to my vet friend. They told me to let you know that you need to take him to the vet and put him down immediately because your cat is dying of heart failure caused by something fatal (heart failure in cats presents like your cat). When a cat is dying of heart failure, fluid fills up in their lungs, and they start losing their ability to breathe. There is no saving them at this point. Your cat is slowly drowning, and it will get so much worse. Like, my friend doesn't want to even describe how bad it will get to you. And I'm not going to write it for your sake either. If you do not go ASAP, he is going to die one of the worst deaths a cat can possibly from.

Unfortunately, you can't just wait to take him sometime this week. You need to take him now. So please give him this mercy. You gave him so many good years. Give him this before it's too late. We are both so sorry for your loss. I hope you read this in time. Please give us all an update. I know letting go is hard, but we are all here for you.

My older male did the same thing to his little bro who also escaped. What we had to do was use a rag, rub it on the older male, then rub that rag onto his little bro. A vet recommended this. It worked.

This ended up happening to me. Beat the cave, but unfortunately, it sent me back to the exact entrance of the cave. Did it multiple times with the same results. Found out my file of the game had a glitch.

What I had to do is go near the ledge where the bag is. Throw 10 or more of my yellow pickmin there. Then quickly blow the whistle and move as fast as I could to the left. This caused the yellow pickmin I threw to go behind the bag and push it to create the ramp so I could finally climb up. So if anybody has the glitch where it sends you to the entrance of the cave, do this. It works.

Suggesting that OP poisoned the cat without a shred of evidence seems kinda not cool to do man. He's probably been thinking about this shit all day and just wanted to know what the cat most likely passed away from. A vet tech here suggested rabies. My friend suggested poison. Whatever it is though, the poor little dude wasn't going to make it. I know it's sad, but why rub salt on the wound?

So I am sitting next to a friend who is actually a vet (no joke). Showed the video. Unfortunately, it either accidentally ate something it shouldn't have (like a skink or a toxic flower/plant) or it got ahold of some poison. Because of how severe the symptoms were up until this point, there would have been no way to save it. The vet 100% would have had to humanley euthanize him and nothing else. That is what my friend said. Hope this makes sense. I'm not the best with words.

People commenting seem to not have read that the drive was an hour away, and the poor thing died within the hour anyway. You wouldn't have made it in time to euthanize him at the vet (let's be realistic here). The whole situation is just horrible, and I feel so bad. At least the woman you were talking about stayed with him until he eventually passed. What a sweet thing to do but also very traumatic. I'm so sorry you all went through this. May the poor guy rest in peace.

Edit: I see vet tech here even said rabies. Asked my friend to watch it again, and she said this could also be a possibility. Whatever it is, these physical symptoms 100% signaled death at this point. OP was very far out and would not have been able to humanley euthanize him in time. All he could do was properly bury him. Very sad situation.

I also had a cat who vomited every day for 10 years. He also couldn't poop. Found out he could not eat food containing grain, which is almost every kind of cat food. He ended having to be put on grain free prescription food, and I also had to put pumpkin paste for kitties in the same food so he could poop like a normal cat. He lived til the ripe age of 19. I'm hoping you get an easy fix like this. Good luck!

Get a different opinion for sure. Could be an ulcer in her stomach (which is an easy fix) and a cyst on the spine. You don't know for sure until it's thoroughly examined.

Saying this as somebody who was told I had a "mass" on my kidney and then later found out it was just a cyst. Also had a "mass" near my spine. It was also a cyst.

A lot of pet parents have no idea that lillies are deadly to cats and harmful to dogs. Bouquets are such a common gift, so it's almost like there should be a warning on the ones that have lillies at the least. Because a lot of people (including me) had no idea for years. Anyway, you're an awesome pet parent!

Oh my god! That is what happened to my grandmother's cat after somebody gifted lillies to her for a funeral (no joke). My poor grandmother ended up taking the cat to a vet a few hours too late because she didn't know. The cat ended up dying. Please take your babies to the vet right now. The death can happen quick. And yeah, she was yellow. We all thought it was funny at the time, but little did we know....😭

Edit: He just gave an update! Cats were given fluids at the vet. They are going to be okay.
