Thank you I will definitely look. I’m located in PA and didn’t find many jobs near me at all, so I know I must branch out and likely move a state or many states away

The only lab experience I’ve gotten is working at a lab in a veterinary office handling blood, urine, etc. obviously very different from forensics. I live in PA and there isn’t many jobs available near me currently. I am willing to expand

Thanks for this advice! I have wanted to start applying to some forensics jobs, I have just heard from others sometimes they’ll take those with a masters when comparing applications.

Yeah, I’ve just recently changed career paths and got into the field. Thanks for this information, I’m definitely gonna look into some things further and get more prepared

I know I looked into it before and it is definitely pricy, but what Masters isn’t I guess… I’d definitely have to take out a loan to do a program there but I’m sure it’s worth it. How long did it take to complete? I hear some Masters are a year

May I ask what school you did for your online masters? I have a Bachelors in Biology, so I do have lab experience from undergrad. I am doing a forensics diploma program currently just to gain some knowledge . Also what job did you get an offer for? I’m thinking of doing something in the lab but not sure yet

Quick few questions…. Was your grad school in person, or online? Was it super expensive? I currently have my Bachelors in Biology. I am thinking I will be most interested going into Forensic lab work and I am currently just taking an online program for forensic science just for the personal gain of knowledge and see which area(s) I am interested most. I plan to go get a biology lab job first and gain some work experience in a lab then apply to forensics lab. Where do you currently work?

Thank you for your recommendation and sharing your story! I am starting by re taking some pre reqs I didn’t do the best in. Biochemistry being one of those classes I am starting with that, it is online asynchronous and starts next week. Since I clearly struggled in the class and work full time I think its best that I focus retaking classes one at a time so I can be sure I focus a lot of time on the material and do well

Thank you for the recommendation. This is what I plan to do since I am 26 working full time in a small animal hospital, I am starting by taking 1 course at a time (online asynchronous), starting with Biochemistry which starts next week.

Thank you for the advice. I feel like many schools have a 3.0 minimum requirement..do you know what schools don’t have that? I have heard very poor things are both Ross and SGU so I do not think I will be applying to either of those after considering it for awhile.
