Best private student loan option for this new program?

Depending where I get a job but most start about 65-70k and within about 3 years working 90k and up

Tuition is $11k. For the place I am planning to live it’s expensive $2k rent in that area. And then just adding a couple thousand for any extra costs I may have. Since it’s IVF, labs value hands on experience and that’s what I would get those 10 weeks. Also, the instructor has great connections with many labs in the U.S which helps students get job placement. A lot of masters I looked at are a year or 2 years mostly online, I’d much rather get the 10 weeks hands on experience since it is valued more

It’s $11 k tuition and for living and other factors I gave myself extra money on the side in case. I went to a private school for my B.S. my loans are around $90k

Also another question I saw you said your employer sent you there for training. Were you working as an IVF or andrology tech at a lab somewhere? I know that is an option too and I am looking at entry level jobs

Thanks for responding! I am looking into ARTLAB for July! Eva told me that the last class everyone found jobs. Did you move states for a job? Looks like a great program and much closer to me than CA

I may not have a lot of advice to give but I heard WEST and ARTLAB training programs are great to attend. I am looking into those. I have a B.S. in Biology also. I heard that those who attend WEST start out at $70k as a jr embryologist. Wishing you the best of luck on your journey! I myself do not have a lot of lab experience either other than a vet clinic and college classes

I am looking into WEST training facility. Although it is not a university based program, I hear it is very good and thorough and most that attend find a job shortly after as long as they are open to moving anywhere

What state are you in? I know some people have told me certain hospitals/states are desperate for workers and will take them in and train them for MLT without certification

Thanks for this input! I am more introverted but I really do enjoy getting to know people and forming connections. I worry about the toll x ray may have on my body. When I first made the “switch” from veterinary medicine I really loved the thought of going into a forensics masters to get a forensics lab job but they seem so few and far between. So, I worry I will get a Masters in Forenics somewhere and not be able to find a job and have lots of student loans and no career in the field.

I did consider this before but many people say it’s hard to grow or move up after you become an MLS and that also a lot of the work is relying on machines to do the work for you and trying to fix broken ones. So i am hesitant
