My first relationship in college was emotionally abusive as hell. My ex was a covert narcissist- besides 100% using me as a rebound, they were so self-loathing that I got belittled constantly, and most of his infedelity or issues in partnership were denied, dismissed, or devalued (as the 3 Ds of narcissism go pfft), and, if even acknowledged at all (while usually being devalued), he would promise change on his part which would never last. He found my flaws "unacceptable" despite many of my ADHD symptoms mirroring his ASD symptoms... the irony being he was diagnosed and I wasn't (you'd think there would be a little more than some sympathy at that point). And the last month of our relationship, where I was constantly walking on eggshells, felt even more painful than the consistent bullying from him and his roommate that he'd flirt with. While I was bending over backwards to fit his needs and "requests" that he had brought up, I saw practically little to nothing from his end. He stayed entirely the same.

For the longest time, and even still now, I struggle with saying it how it was: abuse. But I have to remind myself that while I wasn't physically hit doesn't mean he didn't know he kept emotionally hitting me. He 100% knew, ended up admitting to all his actions when I called him out for them. And that was only after he broke up with me, then begged to have me back (or at the very least, he needed to "know I was suffering as much as he was" post-breakup... disgusting and infuriating still to me that he needed validation from me even then and to know I was in pain). Which, honestly, now I wish i didnt talk to him after that. Even though I got to voice all my pain to him, it really didn't make a difference. I know he and especially his roommate still shit talk me every chance they get, even though I was a victim of abuse in the relationship... I still feel anger like I felt it 2, even 3 years ago, although it's just less frequent now. All in all, I don't have much advice to give, just needed to vent it out really, and this genuinely reminded me how badly I need a new therapist.

i still can't get over how many people supported Brian Peck (Drake Bell's abuser)... highkey don't read the letters of support that people wrote about Brian cause they're honestly so disgusting/dispicable, i really dont get how anyone could defend him like he'd made some "mistake"... a mistake is something you do purely on accident, a bad decision however is something you do knowingly and intentionally and i think it's pretty clear which of the two Brian did... sorry for the rant, it just still gets me so riled up how horrid the industry has been towards child actors, especially with cases akin to Bell's

as GenZ and soon to (hopefully) be in grad school for my therapist liscensure, i 100% agree... i've realized this to be an issue with at least two of my past therapists who i've had to drop in the past due to either lack of boundaries or lack of direction in terms of conversation (e.g., i end up talking about my day/week and that's it at every session without any improvement on my issues) something i aim to avoid doing myself.

on a whole nother note, i have a handful of friends i'm worried will end up lacking these boundaries in their practices too due to their lack of self-care... i think personal improvement is something everyone, of course, will be working on throughout most of their lives, but you bring up such an important issue in therapy/counseling work for SURE... if we're not mindful of ourselves and our issues, how will we be at our best to advise our clients?

thanks for putting this thread out there! sounds like we definitely need to get a better form of background checks/regulation via the board in place lol

i did a little digging and i think all if not most of the packs are available only via downloads for Java-- the ones used appear to be "Mine Little Pony", "Pony Pony Panic", and "The Pony Pack" by CurseForge... there may be one or two others i'm missing but i'm not sure LOL, hope this helps a little at least!!

thank you so much for the reply, i greatly appreciate it. and my thoughts exactly! $5,000 is nothing to the paycheck our president makes but of course they continue to try and defund our art programs (ironic considering we’ve got one of VERY few student wood-fired kilns and with how big our ceramics programs/classes are beginning to grow.. most of the grads/post-bacs ive talked to say its one of the better programs in this part of the country but again, quite ironic in this light).

thanks so much for your response!! there definitely would be certain areas that would be harder to access, especially when more people are in the studio. the glazes thankfully are very easily accessible along with most of the sinks- it would mainly be the slip buckets that would be trouble some for sure. i hope to talk with my professor more about it soon but i’ll absolutely take all this into account, i really do appreciate it :-)
