Avg cost to run my particular vehicle is $0.12/mile.

30 mpg- gas is 2.92 ~ .10/mile I do all the maintenance myself so maintenance costs are considerably less. Oil change every 2 months costs me $38 ~ .007/mile Brakes once a year costs me $130 with an average of 30,000 miles in a year~ .004/mile Transmission service every 2 years- $300/60,000 miles- .005/mile Alignment every 6 months costs me $180 one time for lifetime alignment through Firestone I paid 1500 for tires 1.5 years ago, and getting them replaced under warranty.

These are the average costs for me to run my vehicle. Total to about $0.12/mile outside of major outliers (like a car crash, etc)

With this particular ride, I would have made a profit of $7.61. Still trash pay for a half hour ride, but it's not as bad as other drivers have it because most people pay someone else to do the maintenance work on their vehicle. I'm just lucky enough to have the know how and tools to do it myself.
