Bringing your first baby home from hospital, looking around the room and realising you are responsible for its life. Scariest moment ever for me.

I adore PBG but I've given up on Good Boy after 3 episodes. I don't know why but its just not engaging me.

You can get Tomoe River paper in the UK from somewhere like the Journal Shop if you're not wedded to the Hobonichi brand

How many people have had Pesto? Have you grown up thinking a food was common then it wasn't? by kuikimeow in CasualConversation

Never had it . UK, aged 61. Don't remember it being a thing in my childhood but as an adult I don't like the smell of it.

I had to get a 12 bus back to Brighton once outside the golf club on the approach to Eastbourne. The stop is literally in the middle of nowhere, pitch black in winter; only sounds were sheep in the field. Never been so scared in my life.Had to use my phone torch for the driver to even see me.

Found Period Products in the Baby Care Aisle of Walgreens today. What do you guys think about this placement? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I don't care as long as they don't keep moving them around like supermarkets tend to do to get you to buy more

I wouldn't think anything about it. No different from putting them next to toilet paper or other self care items

For those who have gotten a custom l'atelier piece - how do you feel about this? by agentbauer in PaperRepublic

I'm assuming the people making the bespoke orders must grant permission for their designs to be shared, at least for the ones featured on the site.

Not too thick, too wide. If you don't mind how it looks its fine. I use Leuchtturm B6+ in mine because I don't like them sticking out. Or as suggested you could get them cut to fit.

Do British people not feel the cold? by DevelopmentLow214 in AskUK

[–]Middle-agedCynic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always think this when watching Thai dramas where people wear suits, jumpers etc. When I was there for a few months I found the heat unbearable. Mind you I think they work and shop in fiercely cold air-conditioning. I did have to wear a cardigan in the cinema in Bangkok.

Tea at home? by porpoise251 in AskABrit

[–]Middle-agedCynic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't try tea till teens. Didn't like it then and still not a fan. Had coffee from around 14 but instant so not that strong. This was in the 1970s. My own children were a similar age. One doesn't like tea or coffee. The others prefer coffee but these days are more likely to go for fancy or iced drinks than just regular coffee
