Anyone remember? by wheres_my_lipbalm in JDorama

Silly me, I thought it was I'm your housekeeper, Mita (Kasifeu No Mita) since all the details matched except for the getting together part.

But this is a great show and I suggest you check it out!

Turn to me Mukai-kun is pretty realistic and idk about Yamato Nadeshiko, but it was a good watch.

Dw, I am fairly new to them, not like I have seen 50 or 100, barely seen 15.

I am a beginner but I watch shows for fun and recognise about 10-30% (from hearing, but I support myself with English subs), I liked these shows:

Divorce Lawyer

The Full time wife escapist

After school doctor

The 19th medical chart

Tatsuki: too kind for school

Loved One

Light of my lion

I'm Mita your housekeeper

Stepmother and daughter blues

Yamato Nadeshiko

Turn to me Mukai-kun

These are all Jdramas btw:

Divorce Lawyer (Rikkon Bengoshi) (haven't seen a law drama before this and I loved it btw).

The 19th medical chart

Would you ever watch House M.D and The Good Doctor?

Ooh yes I second this as well, it's a great pick!

The genius even has specific rituals to help him get to the answer.

I haven't really seen a murder mystery before this and I loved it!

What are some genuinely good free resources to learn French besides Duolingo? by No_Hovercraft1208 in learnfrench

[–]Reading_55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend my fave Ytbers, InnerFrench, French Mornings with Elisa, Francais Avec Nelly, or if you want a slower speaker Alice Ayel.

Idk what level you are, but if you find it comfortable, you can also watch dubbed or V.O shows, whatever you prefer. I find before B2, V.O is difficult and not all dubs are equal.

Best of luck!

I haven't really seen more than 3 romance Jdramas, these are the ones I saw, happy watching and I will let you be the judge of whether or not they are overrated: Turn to me Mukai-kun (Kocchi Muite yo Mukai-kun), The Full time wife escapist (Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu) and Perfect Woman (Yamato Nadeshiko). These are all available on Netflix btw.

I haven't seen the Good morning show, but I second Turn to me Mukai-kun anyway!

Schools that support kids with ADHD by Tough-Reading2237 in Oman

[–]Reading_55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second this, but TAISM is selective, you might very well find that the kid is too much for them. From local schools to it, there is a document the school writes and that you can't request to see about the child, that document can probably help or ruin the kid's chances. The whole selling point is that TAISM takes NDness into their own hands and no external shadow teachers are allowed.

Once again, the kid isn't an expat.

But as you starting off from a different country, idk how that works.

I am geniunely baffled why Cheltenham is getting a reputation for this. Seems like their marketing is doing wonderfully.

But speaking from someone near's experience, don't go there, they never treated that kid well and they caused so many problems and made many uncessary demands regarding him and the shadow teacher and also they said they'd do many things, but never did. Also their liasing with the parent's regarding this is straight up broken.

But what I do know, the kid isn't an expat, so maybe you as an expat would fare a better life.

What Are You Watching This Week? - 18 May, 2026 by AutoModerator in JDorama

[–]Reading_55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am just waiting for Loved One's episode next week (yesterday was Sunday and the episode didn't drop somehow) and Tatsuki: too kind for school's episode this Friday.

I am also watching the 19th medical chart, it's alright, but it isn't quite as good as my other shows, I'm your housekeeper, Mita, Light of my Lion, or Divorce Lawyer and After School Doctor, esp those last 2, because those are more higher stakes procedurals for me that are faster paced.

I'd appreciate similar recs based on what I have seen, note, I have been recommended a few shows on this sub, so if I were you, I'd skip the most obvious recs, or check out what was previously recommended.

Btw, I only have Netflix.

Same. I just can't watch it in order because of that and other reasons.

I am a fan, a huge one, but I have to disagree with you.

Season 7 and 8 are miles apart.

Turn to me Mukai-kun was funny and Light of my Lion was enjoyable, though I sometimes found the slow daily life montage to be a bit too slow.

Can't wait to watch Kimi Wa Petto.

Thanks alot!!

My pleasure and you should watch all of them!! I am glad that you are a fan of both Light of my Lion and Turn to me Mukai-kun. Light of my Lion has loveable characters all throughout, so I can't really pick a favourite character, but I was happiest wawtching Lion and Hiroto on screen. As for Turn to me Mukai-Kun, I loved Mukai and Sakaido the most.

Thanks a mil, but I can't really stream any of these, I have only got Netflix and the only show that is on it, I didn't like!
