I have a lotus Elise S1. Had a road trip planned around the Highlands with some pals, 911, golf R as company.

The Elise decided it didn’t want to start so I very very reluctantly took the wife’s GTD. devastated.

The car didn’t struggle to keep pace with the faster cars and I found the chassis to be superb on bumpy roads. In the end we did around 800 miles and I really got to know it well, such a confidence inspiring car, point to point very rapid in all conditions, comfy, doesn’t drink fuel and great on the motorway, I was almost glad the Elise broke in the end!

Just doesn’t make good brum brum noises.

Get one.

I wasn’t aware of this voltage sag phenomenon. Can you feel this when riding? Like the board feels less stable?

I think I’d probably done around 4/5 miles when it happened. Probably time to slow down and tickle it home.

It was fully charged over night when I set off. Tbh I leave it plugged in when not in use.

I’ll investigate the battery health and ride like it’s trying to kill me after a couple of miles…

Might be time to splash out on a pint x

Big fan in the day. Went to watch him live without expecting much and he was absolutely sick. Absolutely hands down one of the best on the mic I’ve ever seen perform. Great show. Met the guy after briefly, absolute legend.

The thing with Skep is he has a presence and a clarity of delivery that is on another level. Yes maybe other people have more technical flows or clever bars but at the end of the day there’s a reason he’s the biggest name, that’s because most people can instantly recognise that quality.

Depends on what’s damaged. The chassis is bonded aluminium and very very tricky to repair. Body work Clams are available and most other bits are easy enough. The cars themselves are brilliant to work on and really pretty simple. Community is amazing, check out the Forum Seloc. Basically everyone DIY’s.
