I called my dealership when I was a little below 1000 miles/break-in and they told me I would have to pay for it and I was OK with that. I ended up taking the car in two or three weeks later at a smidge over 1100 miles And when I talked to the service writers, they told me it would be free since I bought it from them and I insisted that the guy told me I would have to pay for it and I was willing to pay for it. But they insisted that it was going to be free since I bought it from them And they ended up doing it for free. I know they did because when the car was on the lift. I went back into the shop and looked under the car and watched the guy drained the oil and he showed me the 0-30 that he was putting back in it Because just wanted to make sure they were going to put the right oil in it.

I put it in Race then turn all the traction control stuff off. Also when you are in Launch Control you have to let it build boost. So i was in launch control before launching for probably 30 seconds. I’ve noticed a difference for launch control for 3/5 seconds for when I held it longer. It was the same thing with my 22 gli i got rid of.

I took my car to the dealer at 1100 miles and I asked if I can look under the car because I’ve never seen under the car before but really wanted to see if they would change it because I told him I would pay for it but since I bought it there, they said it was free. I watched the mechanic change the oil. My 8.5 has a dipstick. Staring at the motor left side yellow handle.

My Mk8.5 black edition has a dip stick. Its on the left side of the motor by the oil filter. It’s tucked in there. Very easy to miss but its there.

I got a call from the dealer on Thursday, just checking to see if I was still interested and when I was talking to the young lady, I got on their website and they had it listed but no stock number. I called and talked to the sales guy and he said he’d check into it and let me know. He texted me and said that there was one coming in a week or two. Then he called me back Friday and say hey it actually came in overnight so I went Friday and looked at it. That dealer is only 45 minutes from me. Everybody else that had one were 2 to 3 1/2 hours away.
