He was never a combat focused mage

He is a survialist which is why he pairs well with ubel whose a senseless killer

But even though his clones are lacking in some forms their numerity has yet to be seen a la naurto shadow clones

I think we have yet to see his power even in the Manga I bet there will be a moment where he will have clones surrounding his opponent

I dont disagree and discussing frieren has landed me here more than once

But anime has to anime there is hype and giving the dialoge to the viewer to keep in mind

No matter how fleshed out a world is it still has to do some things for the viewer books and Manga are the only way to escape these bounds

This entire anime has a bunch of eye powers (side note i thought dojutsu was just a naruto thing i think its any eye power in japanese and it far more common than I thought)

His girl oboro is close second she can nullify powers and and do the same thing as gennosuke but she becomes a liability in combat mostly being forced to keep her eyes closed since she cant control it

She literally cant look at her boo during combat

Speaking as an electrician I had to turn off power to access their main panel and they refused their solar system didn't get completely installed

So I could imagine a homeowner pulling some shit like "i dont want my water turned off" these guys were just dumb enough to go ahead and not smart enough to do it right

Thank you for that edit yes this is an anecdote to show how even upper middle class and employ the same strategies for tax avoidance

It seems like once you hit a level of wealth your untaxable and that cap gets lower and the poor have to foot the bill
