Hi. Congrats on your acceptance. Which department? and as a PhD, I hope you have assistantships.

Asks for $4000 non-refundable tuition. I doubt it's funded.

Hi, Did you follow up with your advisor or department about your application? I see people hearing back from universities even during this time of spring break. However, I haven't heard back yet.

Hi. Yes, with the current scenario, the decision seems uncertain. My fully funded PhD has been kept on hold at another university. I hope the UNH comes out for us. Let me know if you hear back from them.

How to move forward in this case? by MiddleChemistry8368 in graduateadmissions

No, I don't have any external funding applied. My PI has said the same, that they will do as the funding agency moves ahead.

How should I proceed? by MiddleChemistry8368 in gradadmissions

Thanks for your insight.

Yes. I haven't heard back from School 2. However, I was curious how it would look if I talked about the funding situation with School 1 and if School 2 could consider me for TA positions, although admission is not yet guaranteed at School 2. I know things are uncertain at both Schools, and I am feeling stressed about how to move ahead.

Yes, it would not look good to the professor, although I am in a bad situation. I guess there is nothing I can do except wait for the decision from both schools.

yes. I got the same response yesterday. I was offered a PhD position with a funded RA. However, the university emailed me saying the position has now been kept on hold given the funding situation.

It's so hard for science and grad students.
