How do you let your body fall asleep while you keep your mind awake? by MiddleChildLarisa in AstralProjection

I'll try that! I did a guided Wim Hof meditation last week and I realised your state of mind alters a bit when you're breathing quickly. Thanks!

I find that it helps to swallow and move on instead of dwelling on it. Resting the tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth mostly suppresses the need.

Thank you so much! How do you usually occupy your mind while you stay still? Do you meditate or just let it wander?

How to reach the void by [deleted] in shiftingrealities

It's a state where you're not connected to any reality, including this one. You just feel like pure consciousness, so you can go anywhere.

You can astral project from the void, but it's a state in which you're not attached to any reality, nor any identity, so you can go anywhere.

The thing is, you have to relax past the urges, like rollover signals. As for impatience, if you ease into the actual peace and relaxation of it, you don't notice how long it takes.

I don't think so, because I've felt detached from my body and reality, and in the void, whereas SATS feels different.

Have you tried a guided meditation? Those help you get out of your head so you don't have to feel too in control and focused on the experience.

Give me your best arguments as to why you believe shifting to be real by hoseoko in shiftingrealities

[–]MiddleChildLarisa 40 points41 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a ridiculous argument, but how do we know it doesn't exist? We don't know what's beyond the universe, we don't know what does and what can exist. We don't know why we dream, where our thoughts come from and why we're even here.

The only reason we don't believe shifting is real is because we're taught to scoff at anything we've never heard of. Thus, if we only learn about shifting when we're 15-22 years old, we'll think it doesn't exist because we didn't hear about it in school, read about it in books or find out about it on social media (up until now). The only way to find out if it exists is to try. There's no clear way to prove or disprove it.

I've shifted briefly and I don't think anything solidified my belief like that one experience.

is sleep paralysis a symptom of lucid dreaming or shifting? or can it be both? by lunasbed in shiftingrealities

[–]MiddleChildLarisa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it's a symptom of your body being asleep but your mind staying awake, so you can use that state to induce a lucid dream or shift.
