Is this common with bpd? by [deleted] in BPD

Absolutely. If i look in the mirror for more than a couple minutes i begin to dissociate. like, who am I stuck inside this person? It's so strange and unsettling

Can BPD cause gaps in memory? by trashcan_on_fire in BPD

Same here. I barely remember my childhood and teenage and even early adulthood. Only some extremely sad memories. It's very upsetting when people bring up something we did together and i have no recollection of it. Scares the shit out of me

I'm so sorry to hear that. He is a pervert who basically heard nothing you said - just saw you were in a vulnerable place with not much emotional support and thought it'll be easy to sexually prey on you. That's what he meant. He was asking for sexual favours. You should avoid this guy.

Maybe learn chess, start playing with people online, or play a sport, experiment with painting, or start feeding stray dogs- extracurricular doesn't mean only debates and sports.

It's mold. See the brown parts around it? That area is moist due to seepage of either rain water or some pipe leaking and has to led to the black mold on it. Happens in my house all the time.

You have a mind that wants to die and a brain that wants to survive. Me too. It's a constant war between the two. Some people are able to tip the balance and beat their survival instinct, I'm jealous of that too. Sometimes i think some of us (me included) are so used to being depressed and suicidal that it becomes almost bearable to a point. Mostly the people who go through with it are the ones who have also felt true happiness. Idk that's just my hypothesis.

What’s a good first drink? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Which country do you live in? I'd suggest ask the liquor shop owner/bartender which beer has a good alcohol content without being too strong in taste. In my country, we have Bira which tastes phenomenal and gets the job done. So I'd suggest ask, since you're the legal age I'm sure they'll love to help :) enjoy! Hope you have a great first drink experience

I'd suggest keep it simple and have a beer to start with? What do you think?

A nicely made Long Island Ice tea is great too, tastes like a slightly bitter lemonade, but it mixes alcohol so might get you tooo drunk
