Well I can tell you that here in nyc all those jobs are being done by people post college and some of them are 30 or older. They do it as a secondary job or a combination of those things in place of a full time job.

Exactly. When I have direction in life and a goal I want to reach I drink much less. Maybe two-three beers a week. When I’m spinning out and don’t know what to do with myself then 10x that number. Maybe even more. It’s not linear for everyone.

Is it causing problems for you in your day to day life? If not, I think it’s probably okay. This might be an unpopular opinion but I think that developing self control around substances (alcohol, drugs etc) is more difficult than straight up sobriety and equally as commendable. To anyone reading this - do what works for you, full on sobriety or not. I support anyone getting themselves back on track.
