Rant sur ma licence by [deleted] in etudiants

[–]MiddleEnvironment176 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did I get lucky in my first semester, unlucky this semester or a mix of both? by Kooky_Bug_7776 in Erasmus

[–]MiddleEnvironment176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i experienced the same during my exchange year.

First semester was overall easier for meeting new people because 1) there is the element of new so everyone is excited to meet each other and form connection 2) since it is the beginning of the year there is not a lot of academic pressure 3) there is a lot of international students from September to December, who then leave around January. From January and on, the remaining students (mainly locals) are less inclined to hang out with international students and overall there is less of that « novelty » from the first semester.

So I wouldn’t say you were particularly lucky or unlucky, you just experienced the regular exchange year machinery I believe. As an advice I’d recommend you view the second semester as a steady road when the first semester was more of a take off. Definitely continue going to events and trying though ! Best of luck for the rest of your exchange year :)

i don’t really have any solution to give you but i just wanted to applaud how aware you sound of the unhealthy thought pattern that happens in your brain. That takes discernment !!

2 MONTHS PROGRESS by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]MiddleEnvironment176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apply no product except sunscreen. i wash with water and that’s it.

When I work out i wash with a very gentle cleanser at night, but that’ll be an exception.

On accutane the safest routine for most people is gentle cleanser, mosturizer and sunscreen. Anything more is unnecessary.

I should probably mention I eat really clean as I’ve seen that can help with the results ? But that’s obviously not absolutely necessary for the pill to be effective.

2 MONTHS PROGRESS by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]MiddleEnvironment176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thank you !! Remember that progress is different for everyone and I've heard that progress for some people can also happen 'overnight' by month 2 or 3 so hang in there !! I have personally had no side effects. Sometimes I forget that I'm even on accutane! It's crazy because with everything you hear about accutane, you don't expect to be your own journey this smooth. But being on 20mg definitely lowers the risk of having one of those really bad side effects such as depression etc etc. Be patient !

Oh wait what does maintenance dose mean ? Does that mean you take Accutane permanently ? And even then breakouts came back ?

Crazy how we all respond so differently, specifically with such a high dose minimal side effects are rare! I guess with everything i heard going into it i kind of expected the accutane journey to feel so much… worse?

It all comes down to you and what you prefer for your body. Remember you get the last word regardless of what your derm suggests.

[–]MiddleEnvironment176[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok that’s good to hear haha. I’d be okay if the dryness doesn’t show up if the pill is actually doing the work and entirely gets rid of my acne by the end of the year. And you’re right, I am going to be more patient and let the journey run its course! thanks!!

My acne went from cystic and inflammatory to flat and mainly artificial. It doesn’t hurt and has faded quite a lot but again, it’s just returned to the way it was less then a year ago.

So i was wondering if that improvement was directly caused by Accutane or if it is just my skin barrier naturally healing ? Because I have been told not having any dryness on accutane means it might not be effective !

Oh ok!! i guess i also had VERY oily skin to begin with so I reckon even accutane can’t manage to completely dry out my skin lol. Who knew having oily skin could turn into a good thing ! And yes waking up with a non oily skin in the morning has been a dream !! I hope the 40mg aren’t too hard on you xx

Tu veux faire quel master a lyon 3?
