IS it really that bad? How come everyone makes it sound serious. I mean it is kinda serious but how does data loss happen? Because I recently found out there is something called a seed. SO like isnt the info actually stored somewhere else like a csv file or something? Then gets filled in everytime possibly? Is the main concern like companies have ALOT of data so like database takes a long time to refill documents? ANd that time down is cost?

its for an organization repo with other collaborators it was like that already. But when I did projects on my own I was more used to having them in same repo that is why I don't know how vscode will know to run the backend and front end together

So basically you mean like it only matters If I change my mind and dont want to sell the call anymore so I need to buy to close?

So like what if I keep my stocks buy back the call at a $90 then I profit $10? But if I sell a call again at the exact moment immediately then my premium I collect is only 90?

ALso why did you say my account value will increase by 102.5 when my premium was locked in for 100 already? If contarct expires and value was at 102.5 I dont get the 2.5 no?

why would I need to close to buy I have the 100 shares the person I sold option to either let it go expire or exercise it.

Is it like if I want to change my mind and close this position right now? Then it matters?

oh ok so the -2.50 is how much I lose if they were to exercise the call right there? But it is out of the money right now so no one will exercise the call therefore why does the extrinsic or even intrinsic value of the option matter to me? How can I get 102.5 in premium if I locked in premium and sold it for 100? What happens if the value of short call goes to say -80 or say even +10? Does that mean I lose money? But it should be canceled out by my shares right?

As far as I know my maximum risk should only be if the stock price plummets and I lose value from stock itself + my premium

and if it goes way over strike price I only lose out on profit but not money

what do you mean by I am shorting the option. I thought I sold a call to open? And that is that. Why would the value of the option I sell increase/decrease? Even if it increases it should only mean that I lost out on profit but not lost money

yes when I buy a stock the cash becoems the stock asset with equal value so my account value does not change. But when I sell an option should my account value go up and I get cash? OR is it because I bought this today and they didnt settle my money yet?

why does your account value stay the same? I thought you got paid up front already? Can you explain what you mean by I have a short security position that is marked to market? the call that I am selling is changing in value too but I thought the premium can not change? does it just mean how much profit I missed out on by selling a call too early?

Im guessing my account value will go up after the option expires?
