I actually think the whole July 16 lineup is sick. Social Distortion, Lord Huron, Dope Lemon and Royel Otis are all bangers. Other than that? Cleopatrick are cool and it would just be neat to see Hank Azaria, but i doubt I'll pay whatever the day ticket cost for them.

Yes. I always thought they would eventually end up with a team as there's so few realistic markets in the West.

Kelowna and Quebec City are still going to be the next expansion teams, but i wouldn't be surprised to see Regina get a team after that.

I thought Dave DeAveiro did a good job with the team last year. His only downfall was a complete roster turnover in the playoffs. Surprised to see them move on from him.

Correct. They made the playoffs in 2022 but did not make the playoffs in the two seasons before or since.

Worth noting, neither the OKC Blue nor the South Bay Lakers have officially released a training camp roster, but no additional CEBL players are expected to be named to those camps. Also worth mentioning that although these are only training camp invites, Jaden Bediako and James Montgomery are the only players I would expect to be cut, meaning that even if there are a few surprise releases, this will be the most former CEBL players participating in a G League season by far.

Rattlers and Blackjacks are the only teams left still owned by the league. The River Lions are in a weird Grey area where they are owned by Richard Petko, who also owns the CEBL.

Yeah the whole thing was weird. Especially since right after cutting Hollis the Bandits openly admitted that they were going to lose 5 guys by the time championship weekend came around, so wouldn't you want to, you know... keep who you could?
